Other travellers need to know about this experience that if you're on your way to Himare, to volunteer at Fig and Olive then you're on your way to an unforgettable time with truly exceptional people. Irini, Kris, Mayor Benos, Valentina, little Francesca and not to mention all the other other locals made our time in Himare stand far out amongst 7 months of world travel. For all their volunteers that make a good effort and do their best to contribute to the team they are supportive, caring and generous. Unforgettable experience!! Fig & Olive is not just a volunteering with an incredible view on the water. It is a place where everybody is welcome to be themselves with or without experience. Everybody is so welcoming. The owners and the staff will take care of you as if you are family from day one. Honestly, I came for the 'work' but stayed for the food, the views, and the family vibes! Himarë is stunning—beach and town just a stroll away, sunsets straight out of a postcard. Work was fun (yes, really), and I met awesome people from around the world. Comfy stay, magical view, and food so good I'd happily sign up again just for dinner. This was my first experience with Worldpackers and I'm truly grateful to Valentina and Spyros for giving me the opportunity to come! The place is located about 15 min from the beach and we are given 3 delicious meals a day! The other volunteers I met there were amazing, they have a great team who make your time there a lot of fun. The restaurant is usually very busy so having prior experience in the service industry is recommended. Thanks again for inviting me to be a part of your team and I wish you both the very best!!!
