I had a really nice stay in Punta Arenas! Gustavo is a super cool host, he takes care of you and cooks delicious meals! The working hours are fair and the work is totally doable :) I practiced my Spanish here and got in contact with travelers from other countries. I was there in off season, so maybe it's more stressful during high season, but I would definitely recommend the place for volunteers. It's also nice to discover the area around Punta Arenas :)

I really enjoyed my time at the hostel. Gustavo and Cat are so welcoming , friendly, and generous 🤗 I really enjoyed getting to know them and the volunteers. The working hours were reasonable for the benefits we were given. It's a very lovely hostel!

My experience at Haikén Hostel was very positive and I would definitely recommend. The hours are good, the atmosphere is homely and Gustavo is a very nice host. Of course the two lovely dogs make the stay complete.

The experience at the hostel has been great. Gustavo is super kind and a very nice person to spend time with. I was able to meet other travelers from other places around the world and practice my Spanish. The tasks are simple and Gustavo is very flexible to accommodate any needs and preferrences. Recommended for anyone who wants to explore Punta Arenas and is looking for a cultural exchange experience:-)

Mí experiencia fue muy buena y es la primera. Superó mis expectativas, no solo disfrute también me sentí en un ambiente de casa. Conecte con personas de otras culturas y también conocí lo bonito de Punta Arenas. Gustavo es un gran anfitrión, paciente y muy práctico al momento de enseñar las tareas del Hostal. Ame a Nala y Thor son las mejores mascotas.
