The host is an excellent project, whose tasks are easy and the hours of work are few compared to the much free time you have. At the beginning it is a bit complicated but once you understand the way Pedro manages the host everything improves and becomes simpler. As for accommodation, also in this case it is managed in an unusual way so you have to understand how to manage yourself for everyday life

My experience at the host was a great one and I had the time to explore, participate at events and meet amazing new people. Pedro is one of these amazing people, he really is there for you to help and support with everything you need. The only inconvenience for me was that I didn't know before that the shower is not inside the apartment, but in the office where you work. I feel like being transparent about this, though it wasn't a big deal as I came open minded to this volunteering. The work is really easy and flexible, I would definitely recommend the host 😇

After settling in, I felt welcomed and comfortable. The host was responsive and hospitable, but what made this experience special was the cultural exchange, meeting people from all over the world and learning from each other. With the beach just 5 minutes away, it's a great place to connect and grow.

Overall, my stay was a positive experience. Pedro made an effort to be welcoming from the beginning, and the work itself was very easy. The schedule was flexible but one thing I would improve here is being more respectful when it comes to our free time- many times I would get texts after hours, which made me feel like I needed to be available all day. Moreover, clearer guidelines and more open communication regarding expectations from the start would help avoid any confusion or uncomfortable situations. Other than that I would recommend! :)

This was my first volunteer experience. As a deaf volunteer, I initially felt welcomed, which I appreciated. However, I left after one week instead of the planned three due to the host's inappropriate and uncomfortable behavior. I wish he had made an effort to communicate respectfully with me and the other volunteer instead of reacting with anger.

Worldpackers is not a summer festival. Next time remember that and try to go out to have fun without arrive home at 8am.

It was my first Worldpackers experience and it exceeded all expectations :-) I can only recommend volunteering here. Pedro is friendly, funny and kind. He helped us every time we needed and he made for us a warm and comfortable place to stay. He explained to us how to work in a the host store with patience. Some days were busy at work, but we enjoyed many funny moments together. His dog is adorable and I liked to take him for a walk. We had enough free time for travel, beach, our projects and parties, besides work. Thank you for the best time in Alicante :-)

It was my first volunteer experience with a friend through Worldpackers and that's why we didn't know what we were getting into yet. We felt welcome at Pedro's place. He is really emphatetic host. The tasks was easy as welcoming quests, cleaning or washing dishes. Even if I didn't understand his system of work at the beginning, he explained everything to me. We also recorded promotional videos on Instagram. The working hours were flexible. After a month it starting felt like a home. If it continues like this, he will do even better. I can only recommend this offer 10/10!! 😊

I had the best time here! I came here last minute and Pedro was really welcoming and toughtful, I feel so lucky to have had this experience. The work can sometimes be intense during high season and you need to be flexible for it, but it was really good to meet all these people from around the world and I had a lot of free time to explore. The beach, the doggy, the promenade, the people, the nightlife…. 10/10 would recommend. Also the place is comfortable and I had a bike for this period which was great!! Thank you again Pedro for this amazing time here, I hope to be back sometime.:)

I worked with Pedro for ten days. During high season, the daily schedule can be quite intense as there are lots of aspects to take care of. I however really enjoyed the work and also managed to have three days off to rest and explore the area. My tasks included cleaning/organizing the facilities, welcoming guests, helping with check-ins and check-outs. Alicante is a very beautiful city and you will always find something to do. Thank you for this experience and... a big kiss to Singa the super friendly and nice doggy!
