The Experience

We have 2 "areas" where we need help: *around the main house (cleaning, making preserves, mowing, weed whacking, pulling weeds, picking vegetables, general yard cleanup, watering plants, feeding dogs, walking dogs, grooming dogs, clean up after dogs, maybe raising puppies) *Construction work on second house (finishing the floor, building the deck, finishing the outside walls...) If you have a license, you might have to run some errands.

If you want to meet a local family, work in a chill place with a big pack of lovely dogs and learn so many things about building, landscaping and gardening, this is your place. Good meals, warm home and lovely views every sunrise and sunset. Some days are really busy and another days are calmer, there is a balance. But you need to know that you are going to a farm, and that means getting dirty and doing some hard works too. But the trickiest part of the volunteering is being able to know who are each of the dogs during the first week. Thanks Marlene and Wally.

It was my first experience with worldpackers and Wally and Marlene made it special! They truly look after you and make you feel at home from the very first day. The food is delicious (seriously, you'll eat so well!), and the accommodation is super comfortable and the dogs are the sweetest. It's the kind of place where you can learn new things and enjoy nature.

This place is doggie heaven! I feel really grateful to have spent time at the farm, learning about the dogs, an eco friendly way to live and to have been part of the team. I really enjoyed cooking for everyone and I loved spending time with Marlene. She's a very kind soul that needs help around the house/ cooking and with the dogs. Although I didn't get to work with Wally, he's the most hard working older man I've ever met and so knowledgable. You'd learn more from him in a day than working anywhere else. They deserves/ needs good, fit volunteers that will respect and help them.

Thank you Holly for your kind words. 🙂. We enjoyed meeting you and learning about some of your past experiences. I was so grateful for your cooking, as it gave me an opportunity to deal with other matters. You learned about our dogs and their feeding, etc.very quickly which really helped out the team.
Wally and I wish you well in your final travels before heading back home..

Wally and Marlene are amazing. They truely welcome you and look after you during your time with them. I was only supposed to be staying a month but will definitely be returning soon. They are such kind people and truly just want to help you and teach you. The dogs are amazing and so loving I will miss my cuddles with them.
