The Experience

Volunteering at the hostal & restaurant was a fantastic opportunity for me to learn new skills, immerse myself in a new culture Catalan , and meet wonderful people. The team was incredibly supportive, and Malala and Hernan were kindly person , they organized trips for volunteers, allowing us to explore interesting little town and beautiful drives. The atmosphere at the hostel was warm and welcoming, creating a cozy environment that made me feel right at home. The work was well-organized, with clear tasks and a good balance between work and free time. I highly recommend this hostel.

I had a great experience at the hotel, and I highly recommend it, especially for anyone passionate about nature, the mountains, and looking to improve their Spanish. As for the work, I had the chance to learn how a hostel is run, from preparing breakfasts to cleaning guest rooms. The tasks are simple and easy to follow, and they are very precise about respecting working hours, which I really appreciated. Malala, Hernan, and the entire family are incredible people who welcomed me warmly and made this experience truly unique and unforgettable. Thank you so much for everything!

A good experience. The place and the people, like Hernan, Filipe, and Conie, brought positive energy, and the friendships we formed with other volunteers were the most memorable part. We faced some initial challenges with the host, who perhaps didn't understand our insecurities upon arrival and was a bit rude at times, but it taught us lessons about adaptation and coexistence. The good food made every meal a special moment filled with laughter. Thus, it was a journey of personal growth and genuine connections that we will carry with us for life.

I am grateful for the opportunity to have had this experience, especially for the people, the beautiful place, and the excursions. We had lovely dinner nights with great food, laughter, and deep conversations. I developed new skills, awakened new dreams, and was able to practice a lot of Spanish. At times, there were unnecessary strict treatments that made volunteers feel uncomfortable, but despite that,I believe the overall experience was worth it. In my view, everyone should provide honest feedback; our greatest potential for growth lies in collaboration, self-awareness, change, and respect.
