One of my favorite Worldpackers experiences! Jorge and Maria are amazing, kind hosts who make you feel very comfortable and apart of the family. The location is stunning, with views of the east side of the island from on top of the mountain. The work was therapeutic, I painted, did some light construction, and cleaned. Maria's probably the best cook in the entire island, dinner time was the best. The conversations with them and the volunteers were always lively with lots of laughter and learning. You fall asleep at night listening to the sounds of the forest and it's very peaceful.

The eco village is a second home! Jorge and Maria are the two most extreme, loving, conscientious, and giving people. I had the opportunity of working with the land, implementing construction as a handy hand, making pan and tostones, exploring throughout the island, and so so much laughter and good spirit. You WILL learn here, you will grow, and you will do it all in the heart of good spirit and company. Highly, highly recommend these hosts! =)

This experience completely exceeded my expectations. The Cabins that we stayed in were so comfy and at the top of the mountain where we would watch such beautiful sunrises and star gaze. Mila and Susi are the sweetest poopies. The food was amazing and Maria helped teach us some of her plates. And Jorge taught us his many phrases. We all stayed up late playing games and music together. Lots of hard labor for everyone, but it was an overall amazing experience and dive into everyday sustainability. And I got to paint a mural so I didn't mind haha Siempre puedes vivir con menos :) 💚

Jorje y Maria welcomed me like family & treated me as such! From their “welcome home!” once they picked me up from the airport, Jorje saying “open your heart” when we would be having deep conversations with our language barriers, & Maria explaining “se puede vivir con menos” underneath a pink sky as we ate dinner looking across the horizon of Borinquen! I learned about sustainable construction & how their beautiful, optimistic perception of Life has led them to true peacefulness! Their energy, hospitality, & love is something I will always respect & cherish! I'm changed & forever grateful!

This was my first Worldpackers experience and it was absolutely amazing! Jorge and Maria are so warm, kind, and welcoming. I learned so much from sustainable planting to Maria's delicious escabeche recipe to Taino traditions. They are very flexible in what kind of work you want to contribute and in letting you work at your own pace. I got to plant all sorts of fruits and vegetables in my own compost and learn about environmental and economical farming practices. I encourage everyone to apply! Come with an open mind and heart and enjoy beautiful Caguas with these incredible hosts!
