It was a fun month, especially because of the other volunteers and the chance to explore the exciting city of Barcelona. Unfortunately, I couldn't connect to management and some of the staff and didn't enjoy the working atmosphere (e. g. when the staff got in a bad mood). Also, the volunteers room is too small for six people. Besides that, I enjoyed the free time so I would recommend it if you're looking for a lot of party and long-lasting connections with other travellers. :)

Volunteering at Black swan hostel was a great experience. The work was fun and easy and the staff was amazing. It was my first time volunteering at a hostel and it couldn't have been better !

I had an amazing time in Black Swan! The hostel is very social so everyday you will be able to meet people from all over the world. There is parties everyday if you want to go, but you can also just chill if you don't feel like it. The location is very central and in walking distance to the main points of the city. The facilities are also good! All the staff and volunteers were very receptive from the moment I arrived, and I made friends and memories I'll never forget! Thank you for everything!!

I had an amazing month at the black swan hostel. Everyone was very welcome. I felt very safe. The shifts are easy. The location is amazing and common spaces are great. I became friends with other volunteers and was sad to leave. Definitely recommend this place!

This was such a wonderful experience and a great hostel to volunteer at! The staff is all very welcoming and fun. The work itself is quite simple, mostly cleaning duties, cooking dinner, helping reception out, and some activities. The only thing that can be improved upon is the volunteer's room as it is quite small and hard to keep organized. However, not a lot of time is spent there so it is doable. The location is also super great and very central! I would recommend Black Swan to anyone looking for a very social atmosphere and a party hostel vibe! I will miss the hostel and everyone there!

Big thank you to all the people I meet during my volunteer that really made my stay incredible <3 I spend 1 month in Barcelona and it was definitely one of the best times i've had. It's perfect for meeting new people from all over the world, to practice spanish and english, to just have fun and enjoy Barcelocaaa. I really had a great time here and are definitely coming back to visit. The task are the same as mentioned, they take some time but the rest of the day you can spend how you like :) one thing that could be improved is the volunteer room but apart from that it was a great experience!

I really wanted to thank Cindy for the opportunity to spend two weeks at the hostel. The work is very fair, the facilities are good and the vibe of the hostel is amazing. Always a lot of partying and outings. Thank you very much Barcelona, Hostel and especially the other volunteers❤️

After spending almost 6 months in total (two different years) I feel that this hostel is now my home. There are a few positive objective things to tell about it, of course, as the location, the great activities and the flexible shifts. But the best thing about the hostel is something that you can only appreciate when you are there, and that's the ✨atmosphere✨ I've met so many amazing people there, from the staff, the other volunteers but also the travelers from all over the world. I will always be thankful with this hostel and I'll comeback to visit every time I can :)
