Description
This is a fully refundable fee to cover potential breakages. Nothing broken or damaged? You will get it back at the end of your stay.

The Experience
Beautiful country home and garden are asking for a mature, fit and capable (gardening equipment-capable) someone to help look after them. Live for free; occasional meals provided, There is a basic separate guest kitchen and outdoor showers, dry toilets. Picturesque, country setting. Possibility of a season-long stay caretaking the property for the right person. There is excellent internet service so this position would suit a remote worker.

During the first days everything seemed to be fine. The place is nice and I liked to work there. Then communication with the farm became complicated and in the end I was very disappointed by the way she behaved. I was lucky to find another place to stay in town, otherwise I would have been in trouble.

It was not a good fit. While he did help with pruning and basic garden tasks, Carsten broke things, creating additional tasks and cost to me. I've finally replaced the lawnmower. Perhaps a clearer understanding of responsibilities would have been helpful.

Abi was very accommodating. Her place is off the beaten path which was great because I was still able to connect with the local culture. Her internet service was superb so that I could maintain contact with my work and family. I would highly recommend Abi!
