Description
Volunteers are supposed to contribute 8 dollars per day for the facility of food, lodging and accommodation and hot shower and everything else we have to offer. The workload is not so much, and they can be as involved as they would like to be.

The Experience
I am Shiva, I am a government licensed mountain and city tour guide as well as a tour operator. So I need volunteers who can help me improving my website (SEO experts are welcome) social media, do web promotion, writing blogs, I am really open to any new ideas. Important: I have been offering 2 FREE WALKING TOUR in Kathmandu everyday at 9am and at 2pm. You are welcome to join the tour. I can organize for you any trek, tour at discounted price.

No words can describe how great my time at Shiva's place was. I am really grateful about every minute spent with every member of the family. I had the best experience in Kathmandu staying with Shiva and his family! It was a complete immersion in the local culture and I felt at home. Everyone in the family is incredible in their own particular way. Shiva is an excellent guide who has a wealth of knowledge about the history of Nepal, Buddhism and Hinduism. Sabinaya has a heart bigger than the world, it's a friendship I'll carry with me for life. Sharmila is a firm and welcoming woman, we had the best time of my stay cooking momo for a whole day. Sidharta is a bright child, very smart and full of energy. I am so grateful for all!

I loved my time at the host! Shiva and his wife Sol are amazing, welcoming and warm people. The first days I was there, Shiva gave us a walking tour of Kathmandu, which was a perfect introduction to get a better idea of the culture and traditions. Even Shiva's sons were super friendly and they make you feel immediately at home. The food was amazing and plenty! One of my favorite nights at the house, Shiva told us about traditional folk music and even played for us amazing tunes on the traditional folk flute and drums! Thank you so much to the whole family!

Shiva's family was very welcoming and kind. It was great to be able to assist to Shiva's walking tour and get to know the culture and city of Kathmandu at the same time, along with getting recommendations from them as well as the other volunteers there. You'll be fed delicious Nepali food by Sol, Shiva's wife, and get to know their two lovely sons! Would highly recommend :)

We had a wonderful experience! Shiva and Sol are two incredible hosts; we learned a lot about them alongside their children! Shiva has a great knowledge about Nepali culture, history, architecture, buddism and hinduism. He is also a great misician. Sol is a fantastic cook, she even taught us how to make traditional Nepali Momos from scratch. It was a wonderful way to experience Nepal with a local family and learn about its culture!
