My stay at Chateau La Touanne was absolutely incredible. The property is beautiful and if you're looking to immerse yourself in nature this is the place for you! Christine and Nicholas were great hosts, they were clear about the tasks and great at explaining how to properly do the job. The work hours were always respected. There is the possibility on your free day to explore the surrounding towns to learn even more about France and its culture. The chateau is very pretty and you will stay on the volunteers side of the castle where you will have everything you need to live comfortably.

The place is beautiful, full of charm and surrounded by nature, with a peaceful and inspiring atmosphere. The tasks were fair and well-organized. The food was delicious, made with care and always shared at the table, turning each meal into a warm and great moment. But what made this experience truly unforgettable were the hosts, Christine and Nicolas. They are incredibly kind, welcoming, and generous people. This was so much more than a work exchange, it was a meaningful and memorable experience! I highly recommend it!

I felt so lucky to live this experience! The castle is beautiful and charming. The area around is green and cool to explore. Christine and Nicolas were great hosts, super caring and checking on us to see if we are okay with the tasks and with everything else. I learned so many new things, and I really enjoyed the work, even when we passed a bit of the time which was fine when the work were light or fun. Christine is a great cook and she made so many delicious meals to us, I felt like part of French family routine in there. On our days off they always drive us to the city to explore around.

La Touanne was my first volunteering experience and it is something I will always be grateful for. The hospitality of Christine and Nicolas is amazing, they are incredibly warm and sharing lovely French meals with them and the other volunteers was lovely. The castle is beautiful and surrounded by nature. The work is well varied, it ranged from gardening, painting, cleaning the guest rooms, or help with preparing the cooking. Christine is always around to help or specify what to do and the hours were split between the morning and the evening so it goes by quickly. Thank you !

My experience in La Touanne was fantastic, Nicolas and Christine are very kind, very good family, they made me feel at home. It's a wonderful place, the nature, the château, everything is beautiful. It's far from the city, so on days off they drop me at the train station and I can visit the cities around. The work is very well explained and the hours are respected. I learn a lot about the french culture and language. I will be eternally grateful for them.
