Špela and Denis were amazing hosts, super relaxed dynamic with volunteers. The permanant staff also made this place and its atmosphere. Great location, would definitely recommend this hostel for anyone wanting to stay in Bled longer term. Amazing group of volunteers, will miss everyone a lot! The only thing to note is there are days you're expected to work on reception throughout the afternoon. You're definitely compensated with all the benefits of this place though. Thank you!! :))

Volunteering here for the first time was an amazing experience! Špela and Dennis are outstanding hosts, and I'm so glad I worked with them and their amazing team. They are all incredibly kind, welcoming, and there very passionate about the hostel. The tasks were well-organized, mainly involving cleaning and occasionally assisting at the reception. The hostel's location is great—a short walk from the lake and a quick bus ride to other beautiful lakes and stunning hikes in the Julian Alps. I'm sad to leave but highly recommend volunteering here, and I'm already looking forward to returning!

Špela and Denis are wonderful hosts who go out of their way to share local insights and make you feel included in the hostel's fun. I really appreciated their kindness. This is a great place to relax between cities and take a break. A few things to note: the volunteer room is quite small, and there's no fixed schedule for volunteers, so days off can vary depending on hostel business and the number of volunteers. The hours are easy, but expect to check the kitchens periodically throughout the day. Overall a great stay!

I had a great time at the hostel and I'd recommend staying a couple of weeks! Špela and Denis are incredibly kind and fun people. I got sick and they were happy to accommodate, helping me move rooms and offering extra rest days off work. Everything is as promised — they don't do dinner but they make up for it (& then some) in other ways! The hostels (1 and 2) have great kitchens and communal spaces. It's clean and the work is fairly easy, with standard set hours and periodic requests to spot-clean kitchens each day. Just remember to ask for your day off, and don't forget to go ziplining!

This was my first experience as a volunteer and I couldn't have chosen a better place! Spela and Dennis are incredible hosts, and the whole team feels like a family! Both hostels are nice, and the work is simple and well-organized. It's important to always give your best! Bled and its surroundings are absolutely worth exploring! If you enjoy socializing, you can spend the night at the hostel bar chatting with guests and locals. I definitely recommend volunteering here. Thank you for everything, i'm very grateful! I would love to come back soon.

I really enjoyed my time here volunteering at the hostel. This is one of my favourite volunteering experiences and I am glad to have become great friends with the hosts and the team which have welcomed me and shared some great time together. The work here is very well organised which consists of cleaning the hostel and enabling a great experience for guests amongst other work. The hostel was also very well located near Lake Bled and it was just breathtaking and perfect to relax in. Im sad to leave and I highly recommend volunteering here and I can't wait to come back soon!

My experience with the hostel was incredible ! The work was well set out and only took a few hours a day. The owners are so passionate about the place and it made for a really positive experience. Lake Bled is a beautiful place and I will definitely be back. Thank you the hostel for making my first Worldpackers experience so incredible. I definitely recommend.

This was my first Worldpackers experience, and I'm very happy that I did it. The owners and staff are really nice and funny, and they truly care about the hostel and the volunteers and guests. the hostel became like a home during my 3 weeks there. The work is only 2-3 hours a day, so you have time to explore Bled which is one the most beautiful places I've been. In the off season, it is very chill in the area, but I got to meet lots of great people among the locals, volunteers and guests at the hostels. Thank you for a really good time, I can't wait to come back!

My experience in this hostel was bittersweet, 'cause overall I loved and enjoyed my time there, the location and the hostel were nice, but the actual volunteering part of this wasn't how I expected it to be. The owners of the hostel wanted you to be 24/7 available for them, even if it wasn't your shift and even if you were out in the lake. They want people that's going to be around the hostel all the time. Another thing is that you need to ask for your day off, we were 14 days and when we asked for our second day off they only gave us half day off because they said we weren't enough days there

My stay at the hostel was beyond incredible and I wish that my travel plans would have allowed me to have stayed longer than my 2 weeks, because I really didn't want to leave! Denis and Špela are lovely people and make you feel right at home :) The work is straightforward and I had plenty of free time to experience Bled and it's surrounds. If you love nature and a slower paced environment then this is the perfect place for you! I met the most amazing people during my time here and I will never forget it. Thank you so much for welcoming me!! 🤍
