This experience was so amazing and I enjoyed it so much! I learned so much about farming and animal care and it was cool to see at the end of my time all the physical progress that had been done. Rachel and Philip were so kind and same with their 2 kids. Only positive things can be said.

This experience was as excellent as advertised. Rachel and Phillip welcomed me with open arms and taught me about permaculture while guiding me through attainable tasks. Both are fantastic teachers and have a lot to share. All of the living spaces for volunteers are very nice and have suitable amenities. The food they make is excellent, much of it being farm fresh. The location of their house is perfect for exploring South France with beautiful nature and small towns. I enjoyed my time and would highly recommend!

It was a super nice experience. I felt very welcome and confortable at every moment. About conditions I had my own room and bathroom, meals were healthy, delicious and on time every day. Regarding to work it can be hard sometimes but Philip organizes schedules in a way that you have more relaxing days in between, and you have fair breaks. I liked that they teach you the tasks and then you are free to do them at your own pace, no pressure at all. It is also nice that they include you in family activities and are open to talking and giving information about the surroundings. Thank you very much!

The hosts are nice. It is advisable to bring plenty of food, good shoes and money to pay for the taxi to the town, since the buses end at 6:00 p.m. since there is no transfer. It is also important to bring sunscreen and a hat in case you go through a heat wave, since you work at midday and it can get up to 40°C. It is also important to bring an eye mask, since we sleep in a tent. The working hours were respected and Philip explained the tasks to us in detail. The pool in the afternoons and playing cards at night were amazing :)

Nice family. However, on the first day there were no buses left to get to the town, so we had to pay for a taxi to get there even though the profile says that it includes transfer. Also, the food was good but the portions were very small. We were also surprised to see that the "shared room" was a tent. As for the laundry service, in fifteen days we have only been able to wash our clothes once. As for work, the daily hours are met and Philip explained hing to us in detail. As it was july, we had to work at 40°C in the full midday sun because the tasks were not adapted. Great pool.

I felt welcomed from the very first minutes. Everything was explained and we had fair boundaries. Loads of work on the farm, but a lot of learning during the work as well. We got great recommendations for free time activities and the stay was very pleasant!

Our time here was absolutely wonderful! Rachel and Phillip were great hosts. The property is beautiful and the room where we stayed was very comfortable. Our responsibilities were clearly communicated and outlined. From the beginning, they explained the kinds of tasks that we would likely be doing and the schedule that we would follow (which they always respected). This allowed us to easily explore some of the nearby towns. I learned A LOT about permaculture! Both of them were very excited to share their knowledge about this practice. I am very thankful for the time we got to spend here!

With this experience, you can expect to learn much about sustainable agriculture on a work-in-progress smallholding, run by an incredibly kind family. Their home is comfortable and inviting, though this might not be the place for you if you don't do well with loud dogs. The property is absolutely gorgeous, with access to alluring nearby towns in Provence. The work is engaging, rewarding, and varying, with plenty of time for eating, rest, and afternoon off-time. The wonderful conversations over the dinner table were some of my favorite moments. I absolutely recommend this stay!

I had a great time while staying at the Mas de the project farm! Phil & Rachel are a loving couple, very easygoing, kind and open to discuss. Their story is very inspiring. Tired with living the city life, they decided to pursue their dreams and build a farm in the nature. The whole place looks as if you are living in a fairytale and the respect to the nature that Phil & Rachel are showing is admirable. They have 2 dogs, Lola & Simba which are super friendly (although they bark a lot 🤣). Phil is a great teacher , you will have the opportunity to learn a lot while working with him.
