The experience

Hi! I am Aurel, French sound system designer/producer and travel lover :)
My project is to develop my speaker company activity here, I need help for gardening or building stuff (wooden work)

Important:
-I do not accept couples, friends OK
-EU countries only

Do not apply if:

What you offer

21 hours of help per week

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

1 day off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Discounts on Parties: Get discounts at nearby parties and clubs.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Free Parties: Get free entrance for the best parties in town.

Free Events: Get free entrance for the best events in town.

Pub Crawls: Be a part of our pub crawls at local bars!

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Surfboards: You can use our surfboards as much as you want.

Surf lessons: Take free surf classes at the local beaches.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Requirements

Intermediate English or Beginner Spanish

Between 19 and 38 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

The work:
The time table is 3h/day 7 days a week from 9h00 to 12h or you can have a free day by working 3h30/day, but during hot days 3h everyday is the best

Actual working tasks are:
-Finish the common spaces, like finish the gazebo, the fire camp, BBQ and plancha
-Arrange the land, make new paths, cut trees or weed
-Build small volunteers houses

"About you", this point is very important:
You have to be early raiser, ready to do community tasks after the work as clean your bathroom, your house, the kitchen and maybe cook sometimes, the normal life anyway.

About your stay:
I propose 3 kinds of accommodations for your nights:
- One tiny wooden house (5m2) with one single bed, and sofa and a fan
- A closed tree hut (not for claustrophobic person) with a single bed and a terrace
- Tents with normal single bed and view when we are more than 4 total.

There is a shared outdoor bathroom for volunteers only, with eco toilets and shower with hot water

Activities & Shift

The activities after work that I propose almost every days:
-Enjoy the beach or the river (beach and river are not far away)
- I have E-bikes and lot of possibilites of rides from my land
-Hiking (good hikes are close to the place)
-Surf or kayak (I have 2 surfboards and a kayak for 2 people)
-Visit cities like Valencia, Tarragona, Barcelona (fuel and fees has to be shared)

Activities on site:
-Watching movies the night with the outside cinema (sound system and big screen)
-Chill in lot of dedicated places with views

Rules

I will decline all person that do not answer after 2 days to my first reply. No need to be sure both side, just a quick reply is a minimum of respect!
Also after this if you are slow to confirm I will decline too.

Why I do not include the food:
I don't make any money because of your work like as a hostel. Also I spend lot of time to explain tasks, how to use some tools and sometimes I have to do your job again because mostly people do not have any skills or are really too slow. I propose the activities after work that you could not do by yourself if you don't have a car or an ebike. Everything ask me to spend a lot of time for you that I can not manage for myself, so to be fair, I do not pay for your food. Also the ambiance is really better when you have to pay for it, I can tell it. To manage the food costs, we plan what to eat together and use tricount to devide the fees.
But food is cheap in Spain no worries!

"About me and you or the group and you":
If the ambiance is not good because of you, I will ask you to leave as soon as possible. Also if I see that you are not motivated or ineficient for the work, I will also ask you to leave. Be sure that you are ready to do manual work before apply!

Electricity:
I am not connected to the electrical network, I use solar panels and batteries. That means we have to be carefull if weather is not sunny

Water and wifi:
Water is not illimited, I use rain water and water tanks with filters, it does not rain oftenly here so we have to take care about the water consuption! (dishes, showers, washing machines)
Wifi is everywhere in the land but it is not unlimited. You would have to use as normal use.
