Read the ABOUT THE HOST and LEARN MORE section as well. Some important info is in there! If you stay one night, a bit of socializing, help with cooking(pitch in maybe) will be fine. But if you stay 2 or more nights help in the house, with cooking and cleaning etc and help outside in the garden would be appreciated. Different places to stay depending on the availability. I had a wonderful time here! Siewart, Tanya, and their whole family were so welcoming, caring, and kind. I learned so much about gardening, Frysân culture, and the family. I got to go on many walks, bike rides, and visited nearby towns to explore. I would highly recommend this Worldpackers experience.

I had an amazing experience during my time with the family. The entire time I stayed with them I felt completely welcome and accepted. They are all some of the kindest and most welcoming people I've ever met and I had a wonderful time immersing myself in the beautiful area of Fryslân. I absolutely recommend staying here for any traveller who has an appreciation for nature and the rich culture of Fryslân itself. The family was very open and warm. Everyone is very social and always has somthing to say that you can learn from. They are very welcoming and have traveled alot themselves so they have alot of stories. The working hours is as promised and all our need were met. We were able to go to a local event and learn new things and meet locals. We were also able to bike around the beautiful area. We visited a museum and a local farm all in the short time we spent. I highly recommend this host. the cultural exchange and the environment was like no other. Its truly a beautiful place and experience.
