Eco-village project in Morano Calabro (South Italy)
The experience
The project is to create the basic conditions for a rural community-ecovillage in Morano Calabro fixing old houses and creating new ecological and sustainable jobs. Morano is one of the most beautiful village in south Italy where it is possible to buy cheap, ancient houses made with stones. The help is mainly in renew old houses and maintenance of olive groves, these works are in Morano Calabro and the near village Castrovillari
What you offer
15 hours of help per week
Painting & Decorating:
Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.
Building & Repairing:
Help with a wide range of repairs or building.
Gardening:
Help grow plants and cultivate gardens
What you get
2 days off per week
Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Free Laundry:
You can use our laundry room freely.
Use our equipped kitchen:
Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.
Requirements
Intermediate English or Beginner Spanish
Between 18 and 80 years old
Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa
Program Details
Various tasks in an ecovillage project: give new life to old houses in the historic center of the town and work in a centuries-old olive grove. Help in daily stuff (cook, clean, ordering home, etc). The help Is often hard and always fast
Activities & Shift
Daily activities depend on the period and the needs. In some periods of the year the focus is on the olive groves, in other moments it is on the houses of the ancient village
