This experience was so good that it is hard to truly describe the magic in words. Jii was super open and welcomed us to her family and other locals and really made sure you never felt lonely. In that way Jii is more than just a host. She's also a wonderful and caring friend! In terms of living environment then the rooms were nice, warm and clean and the nature surrounding it is so beautiful. In the camping you'll have everything you need. I'm 100% coming back to this wholesome place!

My time at Bong's the camping was surprisingly amazing. The location was amazing, the surrounding nature was beautiful, our room was great, and the camping atmosphere was cosy. The area doesn't have a lot of foreign tourists, so interactions with the locals were genuine and nice. Jii was incredibly nice and receptive, she treated us fairly, made sure we always had what we needed and were always comfortable with the work and hours.+ This was my first time in Korea, and I didn't know much about its culture, but I was pleasantly surprised, and now I definitely want to go back. 괜찮아 괜찮아

It makes me so happy to hear that your first trip to Korea turned out so good — and that Bongs was part of it!
Our area isn’t a big tourist spot, so I’m really glad you enjoyed the real, local vibe here.
And honestly, hearing that you felt comfortable and well taken care of means everything to me.
Thanks for communicating so well while you were here — it made it so easy to look after you guys!

Whenever you come back to Korea, you better visit again. 괜찮아 괜찮아

My time at the camping was truly wonderful. I had so so much fun with the staff and volunteers. I felt looked after, the work was chill and the accomodation was stellar. Geochang, Suseungdae, and the surrounding areas are absolute hidden gems of Korea everyone should experience, especially if they're a nature lover. And if you fancy escaping the mountains, it's pretty easy to get to bigger cities, especially Daegu and Busan on your days off. I miss this place already, and I definitely plan to come back. If you da worldpackers in South Korea and it's not at the camping, you're doing it wrong.

We’re really grateful you connected so well with our staff,
and thank you for capturing the charm of Geochang and Suseungdae so beautifully.
We still remember how you’d sneak off to Daegu or Busan on your days off — your energy was amazing!

Hearing that you already miss this place… that hit us right in the heart.
Come back anytime.
Bongs will always be here, with the same warmth, waiting for you.

Next time you visit, we’ll make it even more relaxing and even more fun for you :)

I was very lucky I got to volunteer at the camping for a second time and I loved it even more than the first time. I absolutely love this place. It has become like a second home for me thanks to Jii and her family as well as the other volunteers! The work is not difficult at all if you work well together. How much work there is really depends on the day. Geochang is a really nice city. And it is quite easy to travel to different places in Korea from here. I would definitely recommend people to volunteer at this place! I really hope that future volunteers have as much fun here as I had.

I feel incredibly grateful for the 5 unforgettable weeks I spent with this wonderful Korean family on their strawberry farm. Working on the farm was meaningful, but what made this experience truly special was the warmth, generosity, and love I felt every single day. I especially want to thank Jii, who was always in touch with me and made everything easier with her kindness. I am also deeply grateful to her mom for her love and amazing meals, and to her dad for his kindness and hard work. Thank you Bong family I will always carry your kindness in my heart ♥️
