The Experience

The programme aims at providing the children with basic English lessons. The locality is in the process of urbanization, and as a result of the establishment of Thang Long Industrial Park, Quang Minh Industrial Park,... which leads to mass immigration from nearby rural provinces. Migrant workers accounted for more than half the total number of immigrants in Dong Anh Dist., and Soc Son Dist.

It was a wonderful experience to share moments with amazing people. Their family is great and you can talk about their culture while you share lunch with them. You will be living in a neighborhood with plenty of local people.

Dung is an inspiring person, with many ideas and wishes and dreams. Through his questions, I was able to reflect on my own life. He explained the work to me and introduced me to my colleagues. I was warmly welcomed. Dung helped me to get to know the country and its people.

Working hours are shorts, only evenings on weekdays, so you will have plenty of free time to explore the area. City is a little tad far, 1.5 hours by bus and 40 mins by cab. Food provided is pretty basic. Would be good if host could have informed us the things to note and the class schedule way in advance.
