The Experience

We are Ando and Ana. We are freelancers and we are starting a new life in the hills of San Donnino Abbey. Ando is an anthropologist and Ana is a translator and Spanish teacher. We are also musicians, we play together folk and traditional music (Local, Balkan, irish French... and so on) :) Ando is an outside smoker. We don't have animals yet. If you speak Italian, as we are in Italy, it's a plus.

My sister's and my first volunteer and it was a great, house in the mountain with fantastic views. The tasks were helping to keep the house clean, make some repairs and cook. Ando and Ana are great hosts, very polite and respectful, they helped us with some paperwork and to practice Italian, but most of the time we spoke in English. The house is big and the room is cold, but the blankets and the fireplace help it. The events on the weekend are great to interacting with different people since the house is quite isolated, so we recommend volunteering in pairs. Grazie Mille 🥰
