The Experience

We've just returned from a long stay away. The house and grounds are a mess. Lot's to do, grass is knee high, garage is half roofed, outbuildings need sorting. We need gardening cleaning, some simple house repairs and decoration, some sorting and organising packing, help with delivering to charity shops ,recycling centres.

John and Ross were really great hosts! Since the very first day they made me feel at home. I learnt a lot by working and helping John repair different stuff. I really appreciate him being confident enough to let me do different repairs and jobs. Ross' meals were amazing every day, as well as the memorable flapjacks and many other delicious cakes she baked for us during the stay. I also really enjoyed playing board games after dinner! Not to be forgotten, Obi and Nuki are super cute and lovely dogs. Definitely an experience that I would recommend to anyone and one that I could repeat :)

John and Ross were the best hosts!! They were very welcoming and the nicest people who are always happy to share their wide range of knowledge with you. I loved helping out in their amazing garden and seeing how they reuse so many things and make cool new things :) I loved chilling in the evenings watching quiz games and playing board games with delicious home brewed beer. Loved this experience so much, especially their 2 adorable fur babies ❤️

My stay with John and Rosslyn was superb! They were very welcoming and created a relaxing atmosphere for me. I learned and experienced a lot both in my time off and when I was helping. I enjoyed everything from the cooking and the homemade beers/yoghurts, to John and Rosslyns lovely company! All in all I had a great stay, which left me feeling very fulfilled.

John & Rosslyn quickly made us feel at home here. We really appreciated the amount of knowledge they both had to share, as well as the funny chats & homemade food. Can't stress enough how amazing the food was! We spent most of our time here helping with household maintenance tasks, as well as some gardening/outdoor activities. Wish we could've come during the summer & enjoyed the warmer months here, but we loved our stay here anyway. Thank you both!

It was a very nice break away from the hustle and bustle of travelling!! John and Rosslyn were very nice and the tasks put in front of us were not difficult. You learn as you go and you always look forward to the next meal that is put on the table. The area is lovely and quiet.
