Manuel is a kind and open host who truly wants you to have a great experience. We had a lot of freedom with our tasks, which vary by season, and enjoyed hikes, the beach, and yoga in our free time. The area is beautiful and a great place to disconnect and connect with nature and locals. The house is cozy but can be chilly—even in summer—so pack warm clothes. We had a lovely time and I already miss the sweet animals!🏔🏞☀️

I had a wonderful time at Manuels farm. It was my first volunteering and I'm so happy I got to do it with him. I felt comfortable, learned a lot from him, and enjoyed the time in peaceful nature and with astonishing views! The animals all keep you company, the tasks were gardening and taking care of the land, as well as lots of healthy cooking. I definitely recommend taking some time off and immersing yourself at Manuels beautiful sanctuary. Thank you for everything!

Manuel made us feel so welcomed and was truly accommodating. I learned so much during my time here. I learned about sustainability, food design systems and about the general culture. Manuel took us to a couple very beautiful spots on our days off and I was truly mesmerized by what I saw! Regarding tasks, I helped with cooking, cleaning, weeding the garden and whatever task needed to be handled that day. During free time we were able to practice yoga, hike around and explore. I recommend this experience to anyone who truly enjoys nature and spirituality!

I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed this experience. This was my first Worldpackers volunteer position so I wasn't sure what to expect but everything exceeded my expectations. Staying with Manuel felt like staying with a family member. He made us feel very at home and welcome and gave us a ton of autonomy over what we helped out with day to day. The tasks weren't too demanding so we had a lot of free time to explore the land and relax. Manuel also had a lot to share about sustainability and we enjoyed talking with him during meal times and other times throughout the day.

We had a phenomenal two weeks with Manuel and already miss it! As he would say, it's a place full of good energy. Jobs ranged from repairing an old greenhouse to planting eggplants to helping turn an abandoned building into a space for yoga (!) Manuel was incredibly generous, thoughtful, and shared so much knowledge about the area and his own life experiences.
