My experience at the hostel was amazing! From the start, I was warmly welcomed by the team, who were always organised and efficient with the schedules and work. The atmosphere is welcoming, and I made lifelong friendships with other volunteers. I'd like to mention the Saturday karaoke nights, which were always fun. The hostel's kitchen is spacious and functional, and we spent hours cooking and chatting there. A special thank you to Tas and Mat, who were incredible hosts. I hope to return soon!

One of the best things about this volunteering is the quantity of working hours per week, it's lower than other hosts offer, and it's never exceeded. It's also a good opportunity to meet travellers from all around the world. And the hostel itself isn't far from the city centre. Some aspects to improve is the volunteer's room, which has quite a reduced space. How cold the rooms get during winter time. And the flexibility of the owners/leaders. If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to contact me! : )

It is a curious place to start with, I never thought I would live in a hotel-church, a lot of creativity. The relationship between activities and support for the host is good. The location allows you to get to know and enjoy Edinburgh in all its splendor. Although the sleeping space is fair, the hostel has different areas for free use and the host is usually patient with those of us who are learning the language. My experience was pleasant, I met beautiful people and tried new recipes. Thanks for everything.

The tasks and work hours are perfect: you have a whole free day ahead! The hostel has a big common area and well equipped kitchen. There were a lot of volunteers so you can have many friends around. And it's only a 10 min walk to the center! We would have roasts every sunday and free food The downside for me is that the hostel doesn't have proper heating system. It was freezing inside, specially the bathrooms and staff room (the manager tried to help me with that, and I appreciate it), but you needed heavy clothes all the time. I recommend the experience, just to avoid winter time! thnx guys♡

I couldn't have imagined that my first experience as a volunteer would be so good. the hostel is great for anyone looking for a place to call home in Edinburgh. Excellent for meeting new people, the city. The work is easy and agreed hours and days off are respected. I met very special people who I hope to see them again. I've learned a lot of things and had a lot of fun. Even when I was off work, I enjoyed spending my time at the hostel talking to everyone and learning new things. If I get the chance, I will come back. :)

It was 3 months volunteering in this place that I left calling it home. I worked 3h/day alternating between housekeeping and breakfast, the 2 days off were respected every week and many times I could even choose them. The family atmosphere and fair working hours allowed me to immerse myself in the local culture, make lots of friends and feel like a real “Edinburgher”. I will forever be grateful for everything my managers have done for me, especially Mat, one of the friendliest, funniest and biggest hearted people I've ever met. Hope to see y'all soon the hostel fam ❤️

My experience in the hostel was great, everyone was very friendly from the day I arrived until the last day. It's a big family, they make you feel at home, and there are always nice moments to share apart from work. Tas and Matz are incredible people, always willing to help. I recommend having the experience of volunteering in the hostel, I improved my English, and I learned about the local culture and also the cultures of the other volunteers. I would visit them again without a doubt. Thank you so much

I recommend it 100%, the hostel staff is charming, very friendly, attentive to any request and make us feel good at all times. I found myself in a very familiar atmosphere. I would definitely repeat this experience in this hostel. I remember very good moments, I will never forget it.

This was my first Worldpackers experience and didn't know what to expect. Everyone was super friendly and met so many different people from around the world ! The work was fairly straight forward and easy to do and gave me enough time to explore the city. Taz always made sure there was food for staff, 3 times a week he would bring free food which helped a lot and was greatly appreciated. We would often have a roast once a week which was great to get to know the other volunteers I overall had a great stay :)
