I had a great experience at FCR Learning!! We did different tasks and were able to get to know the town. The people were so nice and it was a peaceful place. Also the food was very good and Christ was very kind. She taught us a lot about her project and many things about Costa Rica which is beautiful. I recommend the experience!

Christ is a great host who is super sweet! She was very accommodating to my digital nomad schedule. She showed me so many new plants which was very rewarding for me. I mainly helped out in her garden, but there are many different tasks you could do. I'm excited to see how this project grows. Pro tip, shower during the hottest part of the day (the water is COLD).

My stay at the community was a great experience to discover the nature of Costa Rica. Christ is really careful, wants to help around her, but maybe it would be even greater if we have more link with her ! (A little shame that we don't eat with her for exemple for the meals…) But when you get to know her, she's so interesting !! About the tasks, it's really not that difficult, maybe the worst is the warm when you work outside, but very nice to know more about permaculture. I stayed for 2 weeks, and was happy to have others volunteers with me, maybe if you are alone it would be a bit more long

Hi! Coline I have to change about eat with the volunteers because I have a different diet for help reason and also I have my schedule for teach on line is hard for me to keep the diet eating with a group because I love eat. Thanls a lots for your help the complete desing is a big process and every part ia great advance, the permaculture start with circular economy for buy materials and the work for the desinf of the FCRStore willbe a huge step, I have a video with that part finished, also with permaculture we needed to prepare the plants for the big mandala will be like 1000 plants 10 difrentes tipes and you helpme with the firts. 2 weeks is few time to see a proces in advance we need normally 6 months in landscaping to see the diference I hope every body can comeback later and see the other part. In permaculture we need patient because the desing is with plants and they need time to grow up, for that reasosn like architect I create like 5 diferent progets in 1 weeks in 6 months I will have 6 diferents projects working while another plants start to grow up. This is the life in the farm I enjoyed spent time with you at least the the time during the projects.

We spent one week at FCR and really loved it! Everyday is different and we learned so much! From picking up yuca, cooking traditional food, giving English for the community, painting walls to improve the volunteers house and so on. The schedule is also flexible and very nice to have a lot of free time. Christ is an amazing person, she has a lot of experience and we learned so much from her. She is a sweet heart always here for the volunteers. In the free time it's possible to go chill at the river, go to the bakery, have sport classes etc. I highly recommand this volunteering! 😁

Such a great week at the community. Christ's program is varied and fun. The experience together with the other volunteers makes the time unforgettable. The volunteers' house is being renovated bit by bit, Christ cares about the well-being of all volunteers and she makes a lot of effort to please everyone. She is a real power woman. Thank you for everything! In Sarapiqui you get a real local experience. Also the freetime activities can be filled with sports classes, chilling by the river or in the bakery. After a week you feel like you know half of the village.

I stayed here for 2 weeks and enjoyed my time a lot. The tasks were always different. We painted the volunteer house and murals, replanted trees on a farm, helped teach English, and harvested yuca. Christ taught us the local lifestyle and how to make yuca and platanos empañadas. She also treated us to local restaurants. In our free time she took us to waterfalls and festivals (free) and even zip lining ($30 but sooo worth it). There isn't much to do in the town so after work days we went to the bakery (highly recommend) and the river. Christ cares about us and our wishes, I 100% recommend!

Christ is so welcoming and cares deeply about your experience. She took us to the activities we wanted to and showed us around town. The work was fairly easy, I painted a lot. I stayed 2 weeks and I found it was the perfect amount of time, I really got to practice my Spanish as well as work on different activities such as teaching english, planting trees and painting. I definitely recommend going to the free workout classes and the bakery! Overall I had a great time with Christ and learning about the local culture.

What i liked the most in this experience was that Christ takes you to a lot of places to eat different culinary specialites (included in the price you pay to come) and she took us to a local farm. It is great to meet real costaricans! There is a lot of things to do in the area and she will show them to you! Christ the host is very nice, her cooking is delicious and I loved her dogs! The tasks are very easy and fun.

I LOVE FCR!!! Christ is the absolute loveliest person you'll ever meet. She has such a beautiful vision for the community. I felt so connected to her and was genuinely sad to leave. She went above and beyond to make us feel safe, connected and happy. She cooked almost every meal, managed the whole program, worked her job and then made sure we had adventures and saw beautiful things during our time off. The 1st project was to fix up the vol house so a lot of the problems discussed in other comments have been fixed. My time here has forever changed me and I'm happy to have a home in Costa Rica!
