The Experience

Our friendly Guest house in the heart of Edinburgh needs help of a Cleaner and Handyman to do repairs and cleaning in our house and garden and help to look after 5 dogs and 2 cats. We also need help of a seamstress who can use sewing machine, whovwill do simple repairs, and cleaning and looking after our 5 dogs and 2 cats. Our volunteers work 30 hours per week, 2 days a week off. They have 3 meals a day and beverages and snacks.

This was an incredible experience, the work schedule is respected very well and then you can go to see the city, a 15-minute walk from the tourist centers. Olga is a good person who will help you with whatever you need. I ate very well and Olga cares about knowing what you like or not.I loved sharing my time with Olga's dogs and cat. I will miss them. Thank you for everything, I hope to return soon.

My experience in this volunteering opportunity was wonderful! I felt very comfortable in the accommodation, both in terms of comfort and hospitality. The room was exactly like the one in the photo. Olga and all the other workers always treated me with a lot of respect and care. Olga always made sure I had all my meals and ensured that I was comfortable in the accommodation. I felt at home and learned a lot from her. I will always cherish my time in Edinburgh, and a large part of that is thanks to her. The work is is easygoing, especially if you're used to spending long hours on the computer.

I only have words of thanks for her patience with my English and for her appreciation. Olga is always looking after your meals and that you eat well. Her desserts are the best and there is plenty of food. The tasks in the hotel are easy but It's a lot of cleaning. It's okay if you like it. I would have liked to stay longer, but my schedule was not suitable for my plans there.

I had a great time hanging out with Olga--as well as getting to know her well-traveled pets who undertook extraordinary journeys to get to their present-day home. The location is terrific, a short walk to many top spots in Edinburgh. The buses are easy to get to know for further-flung exploration or just for time-saving. I must have drunk about a hundred of Olga's smoothies, my favorite fuel for getting through the day, but she prepares a wide variety of meals as well, is insistent that you eat often, and often will send you off to bed with a bowl of pudding.

I only have words of gratitude to Olga, his husband Alan and the entire the hotel staff. From the first day I was very well received and well fed. The work is easy and the hours are respected. I really enjoyed the talks with Mrs. Olga, always with interesting facts and intelligent jokes, and the local stories that Mr. Cran tells at night accompanied by Scottish songs. Also the location it's perfect to know the beautiful Edinburgh. And of course, the best part for me was the games and company of the dogs and my beloved Keysa, the cat. They made every day of may stay really happy. Thanks!
