This was a wonderful and unforgettable experience, I recommend it 100% Gaia and his family welcome us with kindness, their children are full of energy and joy, and we had a great time with them. The place is beautiful, it is located between two small towns that you can visit walking. The work is not difficult and Gaia is flexible with the tasks and the schedule. He always makes sure that you are comfortable with the work and if you don't know how to do something, he teaches you patiently. I discovered incredible places and learned new things. Thank you for everything Gaia and family 😄

My stay at the lodge couldn't be more wonderful. The work wasn't hard, but you have to keep in mind that it can sometimes be physically challenging when it comes to the repair and construction. The schedule is very flexible and you can arrange it for your own needs. The place is stunning, you can go on hikes around the place and visit some of the nearby towns in your free time. I only have gratitude for Gaia and his family for their kindness and making us part of their family for the time we stayed there.

My experience in the lodge was wonderful! Gaia is really understanding and flexible with your working hours. Him and his wife Marketa are really welcoming. They treated me like part of the family since the beginning. I had a lot of fun with their crazy kids Adam and Elena, and also Dory their dog, an infallible company. They all have a beautiful energy and made my stay an unforgettable experience. Thank you guys for such an enriching and joyful time together!! Hope we meet again

I absolutely loved my time with Gaia and his family. The perfect place to take an extra breath after running around between different hostels and absorb the rural Italian life. Daily activities include mowing the grass and caring for the chickens, but there's usually a special project on the go as well!(YAY TREEHOUSE) I wish I could have stayed so much longer❤️❤️ I hope to visit again soon!! Thank you for everything.🥰🌞

My stay at the lodge was my first experience with Worldpackers. I enjoyed it and would do it again. Gaia and Marketa are very kind hosts, working hours are respected and mistakes or misunderstandings are handled fairly. The work was always manageable and mostly explained very well. We were asked to watch our working hours ourselves which worked very well for me. Gaia also always tried to make sure that we are comfortable with the work and I felt appreciated. :) Some of the tasks I did included painting, preparing breakfast tables for the guests, gardening, feeding the chickens and ducks,...

I think there's a few things that you should be aware of before coming into this experience to avoid shock or dissatisfaction. In the dome where the volunteers sleep the only furnishing is mattresses on the floor. There's no space to store away your stuff. There is no ac or any fan, so in the summer it gets extremely hot. The dome is also similarly built to a tent, which lets outside animals like mice, lizards and insects get inside. During my stay we had problem with both mice and lizards.The mice would wake us up several times a night. The shared bathroom with guests has no lock

Hello Alva, thank you for your feedback. I appreciate it. You are right! This year we have had lots of mice problems even in the main house. As soon as I found out, I took action and I hope the mice problem is resolved now.
It has been extremely hot this summer and I know that the dome get very hot during the day. There is a solar powered ventilator, but I agree that it does little to help.

My experience at the lodge was a great one. Gaia (and his entire family) is very caring and accommodating. He has many great stories to tell, and will try to make sure you feel at home. The workload was manageable. It varies depending on the time of year, but my tasks included: watering the garden and feeding the chickens, painting a deck, cleaning the big dome and helping in the kitchen. I was always given instructions on what to do and Gaia was there to help me if I had questions. One thing to keep in mind is the remoteness of the property. I would make sure to pack a book or such.

The experience was incredible, they were always concerned about whether everything was ok and also provided a welcoming and familiar environment! I will definitely be back, I felt at home, and it wasn't easy to say goodbye to them, I left with a heavy heart!

It was my first volunteering at worldpackers, and it couldn't be better! The place we stayed is super comfortable, and being in the middle of the mountains is magical. The host whenever he can takes us to meet places and eat pizza! Super kind, cool and welcoming! I loved the experience and I will definitely miss it 🥺🩷

My time with Gaia and his family was unforgettable and impactful. Although I only stayed two weeks I feel to be apart of their team and family. They were welcoming, accommodating, and very caring of their staff and guests. The property itself was stunning and I couldn't get enough of the views and chickens.
