I have enjoyed my time on the farm, taking care of the sheep, chickens, and goats. I also worked on renovation projects on her rental properties. Painting, landscaping, and moving furniture. I have even extended my time on the farm

The experience was terrible

Alexandro is from a hot country is Brazil and came at the wrong time of the year as the weather was bad and not right for much farming work and he was the only foreign volunteer for the period apart from 1 English guy. We are not sure what he wanted as his English is reasonable but he didn’t communicate what he wanted - as he is an Anglican priest we took him to some Christian churches and to the city and he helped a bit on the farm - but said he was missing his family and church - sorry we were confused about his desires

Naomi and Nick are great individuals. They helped me a lot in improving my language skills, and Nick is an excellent cook! He works wonders with just a few ingredients! :) Most of the work was done in Bristol, in the city. We painted walls and did cleaning in some houses for temporary rentals. On Wednesdays, we did charity work at a food bank. On the farm, there isn't much work for volunteers besides walking the dogs and feeding the animals. One area for improvement is the cleanliness and organization of the space. Overall, the experience was good. I met incredible people on the farm!

Naomi and Nick are good people, my work wasn't on the farm, it was in Bristol painting houses and on Wednesdays helping out in the kitchen at a food bank. I had the opportunity to meet people from other countries who are now my friends. The days are long some days, but Naomi is flexible if you let her know about your responsibilities and activities outside of volunteering. I had a lot of learning about life and nice experiences.

Mariselas main focus was studying for her English Tefl exam and we did what we could to assist her with this and gave her time off to study - got the impression she preferred to visit the city rather than stay at the farm - however she did spend over 1 week painting at the farm and regularly fed the animals - other farm work can
