Gabi is a wonderful host, and the home is a nice cozy hostel a short walk from the center of São João. Everyone I met was so kind and welcoming. I definitely recommend this volunteering experience for someone seeking a relaxed stay in the heart of Minas Gerais.

Hi everyone, I'm Bianca and I'm 21 years old. It was my first time in Brazil and my first time with world packers. I don't know the language and I was completely alone for the trip, but Gabi took care of me all the time, she answered all my questions and was very kind. When I was in the hostel everyone helped me adapt and understand things. I practiced my English and started learning some Portuguese too. I tried many typical dishes and visited the city which is safe (more than big cities) The place is beautiful and peaceful, and it gives you a lot of ā€œthe homeā€!
