The Experience

We are a couple from Slovenia who live on a farm close to the national park of Tiveden. We both work remotely in the company of our Arabian horses, sheep, goat, dogs and cats. Our goal is to renovate the old stable and to convert part of the plot into a small eco campsite, where visitors will be able to enjoy nature and animals. We are also breeding Arabian horses.

We were able to spend about one month with Nina and Gregor. First of all, we have to say that we didn't have the classic experience there, as we were mostly a holiday replacements for them. They are both incredibly kind and caring people. We were always in contact with them and they always ensured that there is not too much work. The neighbours are also incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. We never felt left alone at any time! The farm is in the countryside, but you can still go for walks and enjoy the lake. All in all, it was an incredible, wonderful time and we already miss it!

This was our first time volunteering, and we couldn't be happier. We spent 10 days volunteering on their farm, and it was absolutely amazing. The days were incredibly pleasant, and Nina and Gregor, the couple who hosted us, were extremely kind and welcoming. The work on the farm was very varied, including tasks like woodworking, collecting logs, and taking care of the animals. We worked for about 5 hours each day, and the schedule was very flexible, which we really appreciated. A major plus was that volunteers have their own little house.Another highlight is the location, with beautiful lakes

My experience in this true paradise hidden among the Swedish forests was a complete adventure! Both Gregor and Nina were fantastic hosts, always willing to help, flexible and good guides with everything. the farm is beautiful, immersed in true rural Sweden, with beautiful, calm and very healthy animals. the work is not difficult and the meals are delicious! The fact that you have two days free also allows you to visit cities like Oslo or Gothenburg, for example. I advise everyone having this experience!

The farm was beyond our expectations. Nina and Gregor became our family during our one-week stay with them. They truly are wonderful hosts and, more importantly, friends. Each day was a lovely example of how life should be. Daily, we had a different task, which made the days go by so quickly (too quickly); we prepared the garden for spring planting, helped shear a ram, bottle-fed a baby lamb (favorite), and interacted with their three amazing dogs. Lunch was the day's big meal, and it was our cherished memory as we interacted with locals and hosts. The cottage for guests is fantastic!
