The Experience

We are a family "living the dream" and have a permaculture farm in the South of France. We are renovating our old stone house as well so there is a To Do List longer than we can cope with! We need people keen to help in our adventure. Currently our priority is sowing seeds, harvesting crops, making new veg beds but also fixing the leak in the pool. So it will mostly be farm work, but we may throw a curve ball in there!

Phil and Rachel were amazing hosts! I was able to learn many things with Phil and the working hours were respected. Eyragues is a small village but well connected to other bigger towns!

Staying with Rachel and Phillip was an incredibly educational and enjoyable time. The work they do on the farm is so incredible and if you have the chance to work with them you will leave appreciating organic farming so much more. They have so much respect for the earth and it's awesome to see how passionate they are. The work can be tough but is always fulfilling and leaves you feeling great. If you want to learn about permaculture and farming, I would highly recommend this experience! Thank you Rachel and Phillip for everything!

The hosts Rachel and Philip are genuinely good people, they are always kind and polite, they teach us the tasks and always give us feedback on how we are doing, which is very important. They have some traditions in the house and always include us, making us feel at home. The farm is very beautiful and the animals are very docile too. They prepared the meals with love and everything we ate from their production was very tasty. I am very grateful for the experience and for welcoming me so well! I wish them much success.

Rachel and Philip are excellent hosts. The farm is beautiful and happy, there's always good music playing. The work schedule is clear and respected. There's a variety of tasks — heavy (digging, pipe repair), medium (watering, composting), and light (weeding, mowing). Meals are freshly cooked with love, mainly British-style. If you need extra protein, bring your own — I had eggs and sardines. Bring sunscreen. It's a family home, so give them space on weekends. Great hiking nearby — a forest walk is 5 min away, market 25 min. Two friendly indoor dogs, Simba and Lola, may bark loudly at times.

I had such an awesome experience! They live in a beautiful village and the farm is stunning. The meals are fresh and delicious, the dinner time is the perfect opportunity to talk and share stories, they have good experiences and knowledge to share. The animals are very friendly, I definitely fell in love with them. The tasks are very interesting and you will have a great time interacting with the nature. Make sure that you're packing comfortable clothes, sunscreen, hat and mosquito spray. You will definitely have an awesome experience and learn a lot. Thank you. :)
