The Experience

I'm Ángel. I have a private House that wants to be eco-friendly and wants volunteers in the south of the island of La Palma (La Isla Bonita, Canarias), in the Barranco de las Chozas, it is a 10-minute walk from the town of Fuencaliente, Los Canarios, at an altitude 740 m above sea level. Normal volunteer help is 4 hours a day, you can be flexible with the days, 1 meal a day is free (lunch) and volunteers can use my kitchen.

Pasé 4 semanas con Ángel en la casa y fue un tiempo muy especial con muchas experiencias inolvidables. El trabajo es diverso - todos los días hicimos algo diferente y aprendí muchas cosas interesantes. Por ejemplo, cosechamos papas, plantamos boniatos, cuidamos y limpiamos el jardín, hicimos una terraza con paletas y pintamos un cuarto. Y como muchas personas que vienen aqui tienen una mano artística, pueden dejar huellas en la casa de Ángel - yo pinté un dibujo grande de un amanecer de sol en su cuarto y me gustó mucho este trabajo. La casa de Ángel es muy cómoda y pacífica.

Lo primero es darte las gracias por tu reseña tan bonita. Fue un mes súper productivo Paula es una persona excelente en todo lo que hace y por eso mi familia está muy contenta con Paula trabajo en todo tipo de tareas, jardín ,cosecha de papas, siembra de boniatos, y decoración de la casa ,y a pintado un mural en un cuarto increíble maravilloso del amanecer de mi casa gracias Paula. Y cocinar juntos recetas tradicionales de la isla y nuestras charlas y compartir y ver lugares y playas. Fue tiempo muy bonito gracias por todo no cambies nunca solo a mejor gracias te deseamos todo lo mejor un abrazo grande Ángel

Fue una experiencia muy linda. la casa es un pueblo muy tranquilo y muy lindo!. Es un lugar ideal para desconectarse rodeado de naturaleza. Tiene muy buenas vistas del amanerecer🤩 Angel es un anfitrión muy amable, es muy flexible en cuanto a las tareas y los horarios, le interesa que los voluntarios conozcamos la isla. Es muy fácil entablar conversaciones con él y muy buen cocinero! Realmente esta experiencia era lo que buscaba, desconectar y poder aprender sobre cómo plantar boniato y otras verduras!
