The Experience

We have just bought the property which has around 10 acres of land, a lake, and 2 ponds and the aim is to become as self-sufficient as possible. We have rabbits that we breed to eat, fish in the lakes to eat, we planted an orchard and looking to create a soft fruit garden and vegetable patch. My aim is to clear a field overgrown with shrubs and small trees, clear other areas to create new areas to hold livestock, and to beautify the grounds.

My experience at the home was fantastic. I could be in contact with nature and work as a team with Mark. Mark's little children are wonderful and very friendly. I was able to be very calm and listening to nature. Thanks Mark!

It's an absolutely quaint village in France with no nightlife or parties, but you'll have peaceful moments to connect with nature. I'll never forget the dormouse encounter, haha. If you prefer staying close to nature, then Mark's place will be your best option. However, before you come, you should seriously consider whether you want a lifestyle like that.

Mark and the boys were amazing, they welcomed me into their house and were very generous and considerate. Mark was upfront with the daily task and responsibility, unfortunately I had to leave earlier than anticipated but I had a good time with them.
