Description

Hope you understand! When the volunteers have completed their activities, we as the host and team will give the volunteers the freedom to explore the surrounding nature, such as rivers, waterfalls, sunset spots on the beach, see the incandescent lava that comes out of the top of Mount Merapi every 5 minutes, also visit some art galleries and art production studios.

We are based in Kaliurang Yogyakarta, Indonesia. We have a collaboration space that offers art and culture as a big idea for activities, here we formulate a work programme of cultural exchange and knowledge about the natural and social situation that exists in Indonesia. activities that will be displayed with big ideas of artculture, namely several concepts such as social culture, -Art culture, -Traditional culture, -Art gallery, etc.

Beautiful place full of beautiful people! I enjoyed the experience so much i extended and would love to come back. Full of art, music and nature, a laid back vibe but also events and lots to do. They made me feel so welcome into their community and a big thank you to Mifta for teaching me so many new skills! This was an amazing and life changing experience! I liked it so much that I extended the stay for extra week. Environment was very chill and relaxing, but at the same time full of many events and activities! I got an opportunity to do wood cutting + t-shirt print, pottery lesson, we recycled paper, did painting and my very first abstract lesson. Big thanks to Jabrik for teaching, organising events and trips, and for the support. I truly felt like part of the family! Loved every moment!

Coming to Indonesia through this program was truly life-changing. I arrived unsure of who I was but eager to create, connect, and explore. What I found filled me completely art, culture, and meaningful human connection. Working with local artists, exchanging stories and creativity, and walking through peaceful villages gave me a deep sense of belonging. It wasn't just about art it was about heart. This experience reminded me why I create. It gave me clarity, inspiration, and purpose. I'm grateful to have been part of something so powerful.

This World Packing experience was disappointing. I wanted to learn pottery and contribute to the community, but the living conditions were awful—worse than a prison cell, with red ants, no AC, and barely any space. There was no real program, just one daily activity, seemingly to extend stays for more money. The actual host was absent, and the person running things barely spoke English. Smoking was constant, and I had no transportation to explore. I paid for two days instead of two weeks. Overall, it was boring, unorganized, and not worth it. Do not recommend.
