The Experience

I own a seven bedroom Bed and Breakfast in beautiful Somerset close to the medieval city of Wells. We receive guests from all over the world and it is lots of fun here, but a lot of work too! My three children and I enjoy meeting people and having help from volunteers all over the world. Hopefully you'll have lots of fun here meeting us and all of our guests :))

I could not have asked for a more perfect experience. The work was exactly as expected, and very fair for what you get in return — a lovely room, surrounding area, and deliciously cooked food! I actually really enjoyed the work and getting to know the guests. I loved exploring in and around Wells, and I had a very relaxing and lovely stay. If you're looking for an experience that helps you recoup and reconnect, this is the place. The best part of my time there was by far Sarah and her family — I will be coming back to visit soon, just because they were all so lovely! Highly recommend 🥰

I had a great experience at the guest house B&B. Sarah and her family are lovely! It felt like home on the first day! She provided the ingredients for the meals and some nights Sarah cooked delicious dishes!!! The working hours were respected, tasks included cleaning the rooms, vacuuming, the guest house prep, cleaning dishes and the kitchen, and doing check-in. My room was comfy. Wells is the nearest city, it's a 50 min walk, and you can also take a bus there to go to Glastonbury, Bristol and Bath. Muito obrigada Sarah & girls for everything, I hope to come and make more Brigadeiros in the future! :)

W. H. is a B&B with seven rooms. Here, I did some activities e.g. cleaning rooms, vacuuming carpets, setting tables for the guest house, doing the dishes (mainly w/ a dishwasher), check-ins, light gardening tasks, and eventual handyman jobs, among others. The guests are English speakers and all my experience was chiefly in English, so it'll be perfect if you want to develop your language. Wells is the nearest city, you can also take a bus to visit other cities such as Bristol or Bath. Besides, I had the opportunity to spend time with her and her family. Thank you for everything Ms Sarah and family!

Our experience at the guest house couldn't be better. Sarah and her family are very welcoming and kind. Sarah as a hostess was great, we learned a lot about hospitality, how to run a B&B and to make guests feel at home. The tasks weren't the easiests, but it was certainly all the guest house it for our learning and our experience! Our room was cozy and very spacious, with a nice view. As we were far from the city center, we would walk for about 40min to get there, but whenever we needed, she gave us a ride. Thank you Sarah and girls, we hope to see you again in the future!

Mi experiencia con Sarah fue increíble, tanto que quería que no acabara. Desde el día uno toda la familia te hace sentir bienvenida, una convivencia muy agradable y tranquila, tuve oportunidad de aprender mucho sobre l localidad, las costumbres, rodearme de toda la cultura y la naturaleza que hay. La comunicación con Sarah siempre fue eficiente, las tareas sencillas, las horas bien distribuidas y la verdad es que todo 10/10z Lo recomiendo tanto, me encantaría regresar en algún futuro!:) no duden en escribirme si tienen alguna duda.
