It was wonderful! I stayed at the house with Emanuele (Marcos dad) who is such a wonderful person. He was cooking everyday and the food was super delicious. Whenever we needed to get somewhere Emanuele would take us and he kept taking us on little day trips after our tasks. The tasks themselves were very easy and could be done fairly quickly so we had most of the day off. Marco is nice as well all though sometimes it's hard to get a hold of him as he's working so much. Overall the experience was wonderful and I'm definitely sad it ended so quick

I had never been on the sea or worked on a sailboat until I did this work trade. I found it easy to hop into the experience and I had the best time. I was able to meet and interact with the locals which made me feel like I was taking away a piece of Italian culture. I learned so much about the area and developed lots of handy skills. Marco was a sweet host and was very patient with me while I learned how to do work I Fr h sailboat. He took showed us around the area and made my time very special. I highly recommend this work trade to people looking for an immersive adventure.

This was my first Worldpackers experience and I seriously couldn't have asked for better. I stayed at the guest house in Scopello with Marco's dad, Emanuele. He was amazing - every morning we woke up to fresh croissants and he cooked us a wonderful lunch and dinner every day. He also took us to so many places so I really feel as though I got to see as much of Sicily as possible in my three weeks. The tasks are super easy and flexible - I am a runner who runs everyday and a student so I was taking online classes and I always felt as though I had time to do both of those things. So so grateful!

I had an amazing experience with Marco and his beautiful sailboat. Working on a sailboat is great fun and very rewarding to see all the tasks come together. I stayed with wonderful volunteers who are now good friends and never felt lonely or uncomfortable because of it. The hours are reasonable, Marco provides great lunch and dinners and kindly showed us around the town. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to immerse themselves in true Sicilian culture and befriend a funny and welcoming guy.

This experience was awesome! If you work in the guesthouse you'll be working with Emanuel who's an amazing person! He cooked everyday for us, delicious homemade Italian food, even during our days off he prepared sandwiches for us to take away to the beach. He's always happy to show you the best spots in Sicily and share about the Italian culture. The tasks were easy and the working hours were respected. About the accommodation I was really lucky and I got a room for myself.

Marco is a very funny and kind individual, for example in the first couple days, I broke my phone. I was unable to talk with my family or take pictures or do much of anything, and Marco immediately brought me a company phone to communicate with. When I dropped his keys in the water he was concerned but he was never angry with me(I'm a clutz). And on my days off we toured Sicily, it was fantastic. If you take the job in the boat, you must be aware that the boat cannot be left unsupervised. This is a job I would sign up for again, and an experience I won't forget:)

Sooo.. it was bad.. so bad that I've found new family, friends.. so bad that I left my soul in that place 🥹😍 Every day it was a lot of fun, a little bit of work and chillll🤤 Those people that I've met.. they took my heart ❤️ this place feels like a summer camp for me or like summer holidays at your grandparents house when you are a child. It's so special, it's full of love, joy and care.. Emanuelle will be forever in my heart and I will be always thankful to Marco from the bottom of my heart for this opportunity 🤍 I'm in love.. the only thing I can say 🥰 “see you soon” and never “goodbye”💖

Marco and Emanuele, are the best Italians I've met in my life, Sicilian hospitality really should be celebrated! Marco is very intelligent and I imagine it must be great to work with him on the boat, Emanuele, his father, was like a father to me, I will be grateful to him for the rest of my life. The work in the house is simple, clean the rooms, the external area, the common areas, do it with love, with zeal, as if the house were yours, be attentive to details, give your best in everything they need, both deserve it, because it offers a true Italian experience.

This was my first worldpackers experience and I loved it! I was accepted by Marco last minute and Im so grateful for this because my previous plans got cancelled. I had the opportunity to work closely with Marco's dad, Emmanuelle at the house near Scopello. The tasks were very straight forward and easy. Usually got done in the afternoon and then had free time to explore the area and visit some beaches. I'm definitely going to miss Emmanuelle's cooking and his generosity. He is a very kind person, who loves to cook and interact with his guests. I hope to be back one day! Grazie per tutto!

My experience was great! In the house we lived with Emanuele, Marco's dad. He made me feel at home. He was always willing to take me to different places and to assist me in everything to make my stay pleasant. He taught me Italian and cooked typical Italian meals every day. I totally immersed myself in the culture and it was great. Marco also super willing to listen to improvements, walk around and share moments together. Thanks to both of you for making my stay a unique experience. See you soon!
