I had a lovely time! Sophie and Charles were welcoming and wonderful. The work was routine, diverse, and never too much. The grounds are beautiful and vast, perfect for wandering and finding places to lounge:)

Wow, what an amazing experience! I had so much fun at the guest house Staint-Loup, from learning about the guest house, going on adventures with Sophie, to working in the garden. Sophie and Charles were amazing hosts that respected the work hours and went out of there way to show you around the neighboring towns if they had the time. They were also very patient and helpful in teaching more about the French culture. Wonderful first World Packers experience!

This was my first world packers so I was nervous at first, but it turned out to be the best experience! The hosts are wonderful people, and you can immerse yourself into the beautiful French countryside.

I had absolutely the most wonderful time staying at the guest house-the guest house-the guest house! Sophie and Charles are the most welcoming and caring hosts. You can tell they have put a lot of love into restoring the guest house, keep, and surrounding property. the guest house and medieval keep and both beautiful and my room was very cozy Work hours are respected and I worked to help upkeep the gardens. The gardens are property are serene and great for walking around, and the nearby town is just big enough to go grab a bite to eat while still retaining the quaint and historical small town feel.

A perfect first WP experience. I loved spending time with Sophie & Charles during our daily meals. In May, the work was all gardening; pulling weeds & prepping the garden for the spring flowers. Work hours are reliable and respected (8:30-12:30), leaving the day free to explore or take the bus to nearby towns. This experience is for those looking to disconnect & enjoy bucolic pleasures in a relatively undiscovered region. Rivers, rolling hills, & the guest house - which twinkles with the years of love and life its owners have poured into it. It was an honor to take part in maintaining its legacy.

My experience at the guest house with Sophie as the host was amazing! She was caring and patient with any questions I had. The place, an authentic historical jewel with beautiful gardens and nature all around. I felt transported like in a movie. Never bored of walking around. Though the gardening tasks were occasionally tiring, they were undoubtedly rewarding. the guest house is located in a pretty, small village where you can talk with some locals. If there was time, Sophie and Charles drove me to see other pretty cities around.I am soo grateful to them both.And looking foward to come back one day!

La experiencia fue hermosa. Sophie y Charles son unos excelentes anfitriones. El lugar es hermoso sacado de un cuento. Las actividades dependen del día y son accesibles no es trabajo pesado. La comida es excelente y el ambiente grupal es muy acogedor. El castillo es hermoso aunque un poco alejado de todo si tu intención es recorrer, pero Sophie organiza algunas actividades. Lo recomiendo ampliamente !!

Las fotos no logran capturar la magnitud y belleza del castillo. Su esplendor solo es superado por la atención y calidez de Charles y Sophie. El lugar es precioso, la comida deliciosa y las actividades bien seleccionadas. Cada voluntario cuenta con una habitación individual. Por las tardes, después del almuerzo, tenemos tiempo libre para disfrutar de los amplios espacios, vistas espectaculares y siempre las mejores recomendaciones de Sophie para aprovechar el día. Por si fuera poco, Sophie acepta a los mejores voluntarios por lo que haras nuevos amigos :)

Sophie e Charles são simplesmente perfeitos! Tive um problema com meu trem e Charles me buscou na estação, as refeições preparadas por eles são uma delicia, o local é lindo e eles respeitam as horas de trabalho. São pessoas que eu queria chamar não apenas de anfitriões mas de verdadeiros amigos que me proporciaraam uma das experiências mais importsntes da minha vida. Eu sou muito grato à vocês e espero reencontrá-los em breve. Abraços!

Uma experiência muito diferentel!! Sophie e Charles são muito amáveis e tiveram muita paciência comigo por ainda não conseguir me comunicar bem em inglês, dentre outras coisas como na alimentação e no conforto. O trabalho de jardinagem é sim um pouco puxado, então vá preparado para trabalhar e nada do que se alongar e ter o corpo preparado para esse tipo de experiência. Super recomendo esse voluntariado e agradeço muito por essa experiência de morar num castelo tão antigo, foi incrível!
