Being welcomed into the guest house and spending time helping Sophie and Charles Henry was one of the most lovely experiences I've had travelling. I spent a week there and wished I could've stayed longer!! The work was rewarding and allows you to explore the expansive grounds of the castle while knowing that you are getting something tangible done. You only work for four hours in the morning, have a beautifully home-cooked lunch with the hosts and have the rest of the day free. I spent the days walking through the fields, feeding the horses and exploring the neighbouring towns.

I am beyond grateful for my experience at Sophie's the guest house. From all the memories collected and time well spent all the way down to the food, Sophie and Charles Henry provided such amazing comfort and gave me an environment where i was able to learn and enjoy everything offered. I gained an incredible sense of culture and nature in the world they get to call their own, if you have the gift of being able to attend this experience you should consider yourself extremely lucky and excited for your future in their region of France. i will always cherish and hold this time close to my heart.

The guest house St Loup the guest house is a magical place! The castle and the grounds are spectacular, making you feel as though you're in a fairy tale. Sophie and Charles are very kind, caring and most of all funny! I had so much fun during our mealtimes (which were always delicious) and working hours too. The work is quite straightforward and times goes fast. My room was so comfortable and cosy as well. I was able to immerse myself into the lifestyle of the French countryside completely! I definitely want to come back for a longer stay in the future. Merci Beaucoup Sophie and Charles Henry!

Hola mi experiencia en la casa fue excepcional, Sophie y Charls son unos excelentes anfitriones, me sumergí completamente en la cultura aprendi nuevas cosas, el lugar es hermoso, la habitación es preciosa, cumplen con los horarios que se labora, la comida es deliciosa, están prestos a enseñar y fueron muy pacientes con la comunicación porque sigo aprendiendo ingles. la casa es un lugar hermoso , tranquilo . Me encanto y espero volver pronto.

The experience has been incredible. Sophie and Charles are extremely kind and open-to-help people. I truly felt like I was at home, they have always treated me like family and I am so grateful to them. Apart from that, the guest house is simply amazing, and the people from the town were also really kind. Besides, the tasks were sometimes a little bit hard but always in a very nice work environment. I would totally repeat and recommend this experience to everyone.

This was, hands down, the most amazing experience that i have been fortunate enough to volunteer for . the guest house and grounds at the guest house are incredible and being able to live in such a historic building was truely surreal. Sophie and Charles were Super hosts and so so welcoming, i am very thankful for their hospitality. The work in the gardens was great, if you are okay with doing a bit of manual gardening work, i can't recommend this experience enough. Thankyou so much!

Wow, what an amazing experience! I had so much fun at the guest house Staint-Loup, from learning about the guest house, going on adventures with Sophie, to working in the garden. Sophie and Charles were amazing hosts that respected the work hours and went out of there way to show you around the neighboring towns if they had the time. They were also very patient and helpful in teaching more about the French culture. Wonderful first World Packers experience!

I had absolutely the most wonderful time staying at the guest house-the guest house-the guest house! Sophie and Charles are the most welcoming and caring hosts. You can tell they have put a lot of love into restoring the guest house, keep, and surrounding property. the guest house and medieval keep and both beautiful and my room was very cozy Work hours are respected and I worked to help upkeep the gardens. The gardens are property are serene and great for walking around, and the nearby town is just big enough to go grab a bite to eat while still retaining the quaint and historical small town feel.
