The Experience

We need help preparing meals for our group vacation and retreat guests. We're looking for volunteers who are talented cooks wanting to get experience making veggie/vegan farm-to-table food. Previous experience producing food in a restaurant kitchen or stall would be ideal. Volunteers stay in a purpose-built station, work for 5 hours per day for 6 days, and can use any of the facilities at the property. This is a work exchange!

It's hard to put into words how special this place is. This was my first time hosting a group trip, and from start to finish, Rob, Rebe, and Felipe went above and beyond to make sure everything flowed with so much care and ease. They were incredibly communicative and involved every step of the way leaving us feeling like family by the end. You can tell how much love and intention they've poured into this place. The work we did felt meaningful, the food was incredible, and the energy of the finca itself is just magic. A piece of me will always be there, and I'd go back in a heartbeat!!!

Rob and Rebe have created a wonderful home that is very welcoming to all kinds of people! They are very accommodating and more than happy to assist with any needs that one may have. I have nothing but good things to say about them and would highly recommend staying with them!

I absolutely loved my stay at Finca! Rob and Rebe made us feel at home and brought us right into the projects! We learned so much about sea turtle conservation, got to experience authentic local culture and we were immersed in the Costa Rica jungle. From the coconut workshops to the night patrols, I loved every moment🌎💕

This was such a wonderful experience, I attended with a group of other travellers who I hadn't met before but connected with and hope to stay in touch with! The hosts were absolutely amazing and made everything feel like home. They were super friendly and knowledgeable and I was sad to leave. The area is gorgeous and the impact they're working to make is such an inspiration. We were able to go out on night turtle patrols and found eggs, it was an emotional moment for a lot of us and is a memory I will treasure.

From arrival to departure, my stay at the eco village was nothing short of magical. From working on the farm and building planter boxes with Rob to the grounding yoga classes with Rebe, to working in the hatchery and waking up at 1am for sea turtle nesting patrols with Felipe, the Finca quickly became my home away from home. Every moment of this week (that just flew) I felt incredibly connected to myself, to nature and to group that became great friends! Rob and Rebe are just amazing, passionate people and they inspire each and every person that comes to be part of something greater, together.
