The Experience

We need help preparing meals for our group vacation and retreat guests. We're looking for volunteers who are talented cooks wanting to get experience making veggie/vegan farm-to-table food. Previous experience producing food in a restaurant kitchen or stall would be ideal. Volunteers stay in a purpose-built station, work for 5 hours per day for 6 days, and can use any of the facilities at the property. This is a work exchange!

Volunteering at the eco village was truly unforgettable! Rebe and Rob are great hosts, and the whole team made me feel part of the project right away. I learned a lot about sustainability, turtle conservation and, most of all, cooking. Working in the kitchen with Rebe was always fun, creative and delicious, and sharing ideas, recipes and traditions turned every meal into a real cultural exchange. I discovered Costa Rican flavors, learned new skills and made wonderful connections. I'm very grateful for this meaningful and inspiring time!☺️

Volunteering at the eco village has truly been life-changing. From day one, Rob and Rebe made me feel at home. Rebe, the heart of the kitchen, inspired me every single day with her authenticity, warmth and kindness. She gave me back my passion for cooking - a gift that is simply priceless. Rob, with his passion for science and his big heart, and Felipe, the brilliant and caring farm coordinator, shared their knowledge and energy with so much dedication. I'm leaving the farm with deep gratitude and joy, already dreaming about coming back. This isn't a goodbye - it's just « see you soon ». ♡

It was an amazing experience where you will really get to explore Costa Rica and the jungle as well as learn a lot about turtles and how to do sea turtle patrols. It was an amazing experience.

My time at the eco village was nothing short of spectacular. Rob, Rebe, Felipe, and everyone else on the team are masters of their crafts, and so clearly care deeply about the project. We never had a dull day, and were able to feel like we made a meaningful impact during our stay. Best of all the food was AMAZING, everyday we had 3 delicious hand cooked meals that were genuinely jaw dropping. Thank you guys for all your hard-work and dedication, I can't wait to be back one day!

My experience at the eco village was like no other!!! I experienced tranquility, inspiration like never before, delicious food, learned about my impact on the environment and was utterly amazed at the hospitality the hosts had to offer! I'll let the pictures and descriptions speak for themselves, and to anyone still reading: go out of your comfort zone and do hard things! Go on this trip! You will learn more about yourself and nature in your short time at Finca compared to anywhere else!
