The Experience
Help us to host guests at my Ranch. This involves mainly helping with house keeping, cleaning, cooking for guests and for other volunteers, changing bedsheets as well as assisting guests during check-in and check-out. It's about offering a superb hospitality service to our guests. It's a beautiful farm with horses in the countryside. It's located 30 minutes away from a city called Rostock, in the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

The farm is a great experience for all travelers who enjoy being a little out of the city, in nature with animals. The 3 weeks I spent volunteering was filled with plenty of work, communicating and working with other volunteers, meeting new guests staying at the farm & best of all family dinners. Amancio is great and really good fun. Important to be proactive with what work needs to be done as not all the work is strictly given on a list. Ask plenty of questions where needed, enjoy supporting & learning Amancio's vision in a great environment!

Two weeks is not enough to do the volunteer experience at the farm! It is a place where I would definitely return with pleasure. For travellers looking for an immersion in the argentian - German culture it's the perfect place. The place is under construction so there is a lot of work to do, but the tasks pass quickly and become fun in the company with the others volunteers. Amancio makes sure to respond to all needs and is always available to make your stay the best possible.

I've loved my experience in the farm, and in truth, after I've left I continue thinking about this experience as the people I've shared my time here with made it so special. The horses are another show apart, if you love them like I do, or you're interested to get in touch with them you will love it. You can go riding with them sometimes, which is very nice too. Working hours could be more organized as sometimes it is a bit too much. But in opposition to that I had opportunities where I had some time off too from my working hours, so I would say to keep a great communication about it :)

My time at the farm was awesome. This will be the same for all those who seek time away from the city and enjoy the quietness of a the farm environment. I learnt a lot a bout Argentinian culture and despite my language differences became close with my team. The food was a highlight with a kitchen at your disposal at all times and designated cooking days. Please note you will be working extremely hard and the tasks are often very unclear - so always voice your concerns when they happen and you'll be fine!
