I had a fantastic time at the project! I ended up staying longer than originally planned. A project rooted in living in tune with nature, and the future plans for the project is very exciting. Christian showed me a lot of beautiful places near by. Diving with the fish at the pool of mermaids, and jumping from a cliff at a beautiful beach. I met amazing people and got experiences I will remember for a lifetime. I'm exited to see the progress of the project. I will definitely return! Thank you for everything!

The time in the project was life changing! We needed a little bit of time to adapt in to a new lifestyle but when we did it was hard to say goodbye. It was really amazing to meet and create a such a strong bond with other volunteers from all around the world. Christian is also an understanding person, who tries as best as he can to create the place and experience at the project even more unforgettable. If you want to reconnect with nature, understand and learn what truly and actually matters to you, this is a place to do so!

The project was an amazing experience! It is important to say that eventhought it is not for everybody,(you are sleeping on a tent and the toilet is literally a bucket ) for me was one of the best experiences of my life. People from all around the world were coliving and sharing everything. I absolutly loved the great people I met there. It was not really great organized as Christian was really busy and had back pain so he couldnt be with us much. This was my first experience but surely not my last. I love you all.

Hello Sara, it's a pleasure that you enjoyed your time.
More than my back pain, I was busy organizing (mostly in the background) everyday life for so many others who were unable to listen and did not respect the simple rules. In the future such people have to leave immediately. Than the mood will be better.
The biggest “pain” I felt for them afterwards when they even continued to spread negative energy. Sad for them, I believe in karma. The more you give the more you get.
It's a shame that some people couldn't appreciate what they received and didn't learn much during their time here. I'm glad you did - and do still.
In the future you will also be warmly welcomed at the Adventure Hill as well on tours.
All the best on your way of life!
Christian

I am satisfied with the place & the host. I met very good people from all around the world but also others. Some people did not deserve to be here. They did not want to listen,we had to repeat ourselves several times a day, every day. We got many options what to do in our freetime. Thanks to Christian for free or special friendship prices -and only if you want. For example paragliding, music events, good restaurants & much more. I enjoeyed it a lot i will come back! I even stayed longer than i choosed in the beginning. I can recommend to stay more than 3 weeks. If you show respect you earn respect!

I am 18 and I am from Bulgaria and this was my first volunteering. I spent there 3 weeks and the experience was great. The atmosphere was full of friendly nice people and we went to a lot of trips exploring the beauty of Sicily. Nevertheless, all of us, who at the peak were 36 people, had issues with the host. Christian lacks leadership skills to organize our work and daily tasks, and can rarely lead a respectful conversation. He was moody and irresponsible, usually refusing to answer our questions regarding the plans for the day. There are far more additional fees than the ones he mentions.

After many good experiences with volunteers in the past we had some weird ones with some dishonest, disrespectful and immature "kids". We could (maybe *should*) have sent them away in the beginning, after several times disobeying the rules. We wanted instead to give them another chance, and another - and another... this is their "thanks", for everything they got.
Hopefully they grow anyway. We wish them the best.

The project was my first worldpackers experience and i genuinely had such a good time. From seeing my first shooting stars, paragliding, to cliff jumping at lonely beach- I saw so much of sicily. I made many lifelong friends and saying goodbye left us all in tears. The experience is camping as basic as it gets (from using a bucket as a toilet and shower to cooking with basic veggies) so if you are a clean freak, non nature type of person this might not be the place for you. Even with some miscommunications, the experiences and the other volunteers I met made this place special to me.

We want to clear that we use different buckets for the toilet and the shower. ;) ...Also soon we have a new compost toilet as well as cozy thermal solar shower rooms and more. Even now with the beauty pool and the sea you can be clearly happy. :)

For a clearly communication just speak with the people instead about them.

You are welcome in the future at the Adventure Hill.

On the one hand, the experience at the camp is EXTRAORDINARY. I highly recommend it if you are a flexible person that is willing to live in an envi with limited resources. Believe me when I say you'll OPEN YOUR EYES with it since you will get to know people from many different cultures and live unimaginable situations(: On the other hand, we have Christian. He is not present at all. I stayed there for 2 weeks and he didn't even bothered to learn my name. He is unkind and he doesn't even welcome his volunteers. Eco Avventura is more than him. Go and for sure you won't regret it!

It's a pitty that some (very young) people dont understand the whole project nor the pioneering work of ONE MAN who is managing it all. One founder, one manager, one soul which is day & night carying for everybody. (Means not only the 35 people, when you where at the Adventure Hill, but hundreds and more before.)
Luckily most of the volunteers do understand, as you can read in the other reviews. (More on Workaway and other plattforms.)
Everything you enjoyed was only possible thanks to this one person. If you would be more respectfull & open minded you could also understand better, Andrea. If you think you can do it better, go for it! We wish you anyway all the best on your way of life, that your character can grow more positive.

Coming to the project was amazing, we met awesome people from all over and explored so many beautiful places in Sicily. While we were there, the campagnola (Christian's car) was at the mechanic, but he still organised rides for us to so many nice spots! One of the best things was visiting and helping out friends of Christian's, they were all so welcoming and made us feel so at home! The work load was extremely fair and enjoyable, we would love to come back and help with the construction plans! the project is an awesome place with amazing people, we would recommend it to anyone!

I loved it Christian has a big project to run and I'm very happy to have been a part of it, I really hope to be able to come back in a few years and follow the evolution. I loved swimming in the warm Sicilian water, eating arancini, drinking the pan e vino wines, having the best ice cream in Italy (they have dozens of awards posted on the shelves), cooking on the fire, meeting Christian's friends ( especially Helena and her friend that made a delicius pasta), making new friends from all over the world, improving my English. I would do it all over again and stay longer if I could.

We loved our time at the project! The location is lovely and the excursions were well worth it. The work isn't demanding and you can pick your own schedule as long as you achieve something each day and contribute to the project. Christian was a great host and we had some fun times together. Would definetly recommend to other volunteers looking for a way to explore Sicily and immerse in the culture as well as meet new people.
