Alpaca farm in Canada's ocean playground

Hamptons Farm was a true farm experience. You got the chance to meet and work with the animals and to do projects around. If your don' t have experience is a good place to learn how to do fencing, bush cleaning, feeding the animals, cleaning their spaces and work with the Alpaca wool. Art is friendly and respectful, also a good cook, and he will teach you his sistem and then give you freedom to work at your own peace.

Where to start? the farm was such a beautiful experience filled with peace, learning, calm, animals, great conversations, good food hehe, and lots of exercise! there are beautiful hikes and small towns to visit, Art will tell you the best spots ;) The alpacas and chickens are super curious and so cute!!! If you want to recharge your batteries in nature, learn about green initiatives, and enjoy Nova Scotia, you are in the right place! it was my first worldpacker and I am very happy as a first experience :)

The farm was my first volunteering and what a wonderful experience. Art is an incredible host, he opened the doors of his home, I feel part of his family, we shared very interesting conversations. He also cooked delicious food for me and I always felt at home. Its the perfect place to disconnect from everything, with the meadows, the rivers, the waterfalls and the sea that has so much magic. I enjoy taking care of animals, alpacas are extremely curious and chickens will steal your heart. It is a great place to learn to go slow disconect from city life and conect with nature.

I really had a great time at the farm, it's overall a great experience to have. Art is a great cook and a very kind and welcoming person. He gave me a lot of advices about places to visit with beautiful views and we've had lots of conversions about all kinds of subjects, it was always very interesting. One thing I liked was his “Zero-waste” policy, I learned a lot about all the recycling methods and how almost everything is reusable. The locals are really nice and the breweries make some of the best beer I've ever had. It was a wonderful experience and I'm sure I'll return there someday.
