If you're looking for a Canadian experience. I 100% recommend the farm! From my arrival i have felt nothing but comfort. It is very quiet and quaint, and if thats what you're needing. This is the perfect experience. The work is very easy, and you do what you're best at. For my first Worldpackers trip I wanted to feel safe and sound. This was exactly that, and more! I would definitely come back! The animals are super sweet, the landscapes beautiful, the food Arthur made was amazing, house is super cute and rustic. There is really no complaints! Thank you Arthur for the amazing time!:)

As my first worldpacker experience the farm was the perfect place. If you want to get away from cities and many people, or connect with animals and nature, this is the place for you! Art is a very kind and accomodating guy (with awesome cooking skills) who explains your tasks to you and then trusts you to do it well. Of course you can always ask him if something is unclear. In winter, the house is quite cold but you get used to it and when the furnace is on it gets really cozy. The tasks aren't hard, I especially liked taking care of the animals. I'm gonna miss the sweet Alpacas and Luna.

My unfortunately way too short time at the farm was better than I could have imagined! It was my first worldpacker experience and I realised here how nice it is to help other people and work with the animals. Art is a wonderful and kind person and I had an unforgettable time with him.. he is a very great host and you can learn a lot from him and, be the way, he is an amazing and talented cook! (These plantings were awesome :)) I can heartily recommend everyone to experience the real farm life on Art's Farm :) Thank you! <3

I had such a great time at Arthur's farm. Art is a kind and respectful person, he is easy to get along with. He is a great cook and has a wonderful welcoming home. Art is very good at finding what work you are really good at and making sure you are always working on a project you are comfortable with. The animals are very calming to spend time with and are super friendly- especially Luna.

This was my first Worldpackers experience and I got exactly what I was looking for. This is a good place to learn new skills as Art will teach you how to do things and then leave you to work at your own pace, and doesn't like to micro-manage. Art is a lovely guy and a great cook. There is some beautiful scenery around and Art will recommend some of the best spots. This is a great experience to have if you're looking to learn new skills and connect with nature. It's more enjoyed if you're able to spend lots of time by yourself. I highly recommend the farm's Farm.

HamptonFarms was a unique and beautiful experience to remember. The alpacas/chickens were great and learned alot about their care. I appreciate the fact that work activities were largely up to the helpers and you could elect to do outdoor tasks, or opt for fiber activities indoors. The hikes around the property were the best part as the location is rather remote&difficult without car. The WiFi is testy at best. Arts cooking was amazing and you never go hungry. The main challenge @ farm would largely be adjusting to the unique household standards and responsibilities of a rustic farm life.

The farm was a good place to go if you want to disconnect from everything and learn a thing or two about caring for alpacas! Art is a great cook and there was always plenty of meals available. Only issue I had at the farm was the lack of transportation, no fault of Arts, as there is no public transport or anything near by so all exploring had to be done walking, which was very isolating but if thats what you're looking for perfect. Art is good at making sure he finds the right task for each volunteer so you're not stuck doing somthing you hate.

Thanks for all the great work, Mhairi. The brush cutting you did along the river was as though a machine had gone through there. :-) I also really appreciated how you cut up some stands of birch trees that blew down in a hurricane years ago. You transformed an eyesore into a few months of firewood for me.
You're a kind and sensitive person, and I wish you all the best in your travels.

My stay with Art was absolutely incredible. We got along great, got lots done, and had some great talks. He has lots of great stories and is very kind. His animals are fun to care for and I enjoyed learning new ways to do lots of things. He is a great cook and taught me some new tips and tricks that I will definitely be trying :) I highly recommend giving Art and his farm a visit!

Hamptons Farm was a true farm experience. You got the chance to meet and work with the animals and to do projects around. If your don' t have experience is a good place to learn how to do fencing, bush cleaning, feeding the animals, cleaning their spaces and work with the Alpaca wool. Art is friendly and respectful, also a good cook, and he will teach you his sistem and then give you freedom to work at your own peace.
