The Experience

I spent two wonderful weeks in Mehuin, staying with Carolina, an incredibly kind and understanding host. She speaks excellent English, making communication easy. The tasks were simple, and I appreciated the relaxed pace. Mehuin's peaceful atmosphere, stunning ocean, and beautiful nature stole my heart. Carolina's warm friends made me feel truly welcome. The great weather and calm surroundings made it feel like home. It was an unforgettable experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a quiet, beautiful, and welcoming place to volunteer.

Carolina is a great and caring host, gives a lot of attention and time to the volunteers. The assignments were clear but I didn't learn a lot and didn't have a lot to do, which is a good point if someone is looking for a chill volunteering. Also, I believe the cleanliness of the house was not as I expected : there is a cat and I am highly allergic to it (it sleeps on the couch and on the volunteers' bed), the room wasn't clean and there was wind inside of the room even if the windows were closed.
