My stay at Pål's was great ! He's very nice and even if i'm shy, he loved to tell me stories and facts about Norway, which made me very comfortable. His two dogs are lovely too. I was here in October, so my tasks consisted mostly in giving water and food to the sheep but also to help moving flocks from a place to another, to help sorting and weighting sheep, among other things. There were big days as much as chill days, but nothing is really difficult to do. The landscape around is beautiful, with or without snow and i was lucky enough to see northern lights. Thank you Pål and see you ! 😁

I felt very much at home at Pål's the farm, sharing the house with the others, having a dinner together each evening. In summer, Pål's main work is to make grass balls, so my tasks were in the barn or around the house – cleaning, painting, lawn mowing, dog sitting. In September, we started bringing the sheep home from the forest, which was an amazing experience for me. None of the tasks were difficult, and they were suitable for anyone. I had a lot of free time, and opportunity to make trips around the farm. I spent many evenings watching sunset from the porch, which I will miss a lot. Thank you!

I stayed here two too short weeks during the end of lambing season. Tasks were feeding and giving water to the sheeps, giving bottles to the lambs (😍) and helping to take them in the wood - I enjoyed every single task! Pål made sure we felt at home - also with my vegetarian belongings - and to meet new people from the same country or with same interestes! During my time I got to learn much about sheeps and general farm work. Spending time with their 4 dogs and being surrounded by so beautiful nature was so nice! Thanks for everything again!

My experience at the farm was incredible—one of the most enriching of my life. I learned so much, immersed myself in Norwegian culture, adopted new habits, and enjoyed the peace of its breathtaking landscapes. Above all, the farm, Brit, their family, and friends showed me unparalleled kindness, always supporting me, especially when I needed it most. The four dogs—Love, Lucas, Cris, and Illow—brought daily joy, and working with the adorable sheep, from feeding them to organizing their day, was unforgettable. Thank you, the farm, for everything!

Pål has a great sense of humor and provided a fun and hard workday that made me leaving fulfilled. I am very grateful for this opportunity to spend time learning the ways of farming and local culture.
