The Experience

We need help with all aspects of work required to keep a household afloat, the garden producing and the animals happy. Sometimes we need help with renovation work in and around the house. We are not a registered charity, nor are we a big producing farm. It's a smallholding, and we are learning on the jobs we are doing. We like to share our experience and knowledge, but are not experts in farming or gardening.

These hosts are so friendly to stay with. The work is in nature which I do enjoyed. The accommodation is great and the whole environment in which you stay is beautiful. The animals are so much fun. I had a great time and would absolutely return. I enjoyed the work particularly egg collecting and cleaning. Everyone was welcoming and I felt very at home I loved the dog cat and hens. The surrounding area was gorgeous , so much nature made me feel peaceful

I instantly felt home when I got to the home. Beate is an incredible, interesting, giving and kind woman. I learned a lot from her from the home time I spent at the farm. The entire family was amazing and I felt very welcomed. The work is varied and Beate adapt herself well to the strenght of the volunteer. The farm is a beautiful place to connect with nature (and animals 🐕🐈‍⬛🐏🐓). I would happily go back anytime. 🌞 Thank you so much Beate, I'm gonna miss your beautiful the home piece of paradise 💛

I had a great experience at the home. Beate and Michael were always kind and welcoming. They encouraged me to learn and explore, and I truly appreciated how they corrected my English when I made mistakes. That helped me improve a lot! Their family and friends were also very friendly, making me feel comfortable from the start. I learned new things and enjoyed my time there. I'm grateful for their hospitality and support. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a meaningful volunteer experience!

My experience at the home was amazing. The family is very kind, and spending time with them was enjoyable. They are always attentive to ensure you feel comfortable and at home. The room is cozy, and the house has a warm atmosphere. The tasks are varied and include animal care, construction, and gardening, making them interesting and fun. Working with Beate is enriching, as you always learn something new. Beate is also very flexible. The farm is beautiful, and the town has its charm as well. I learned a lot during my stay and enjoyed every moment with Beate and her family.

Beate is a great person. There was always good communication and she was flexible. Tasks may include feeding chickens/sheep, gardening and maintenance around the smallholding. Beate is very experienced, so she knows how to tackle and explain what needs to be done for the projects. But even when there are unexpected challenges, she figures out a solution and everyone can learn along the way. If you have gardening/building experience, this is a great place to practice and learn more. Beate's family is nice and friendly. Everyone is willing to help you practice English and/or German.
