My experience at the hostel Ramblas was amazing. It was my first volunteering experience and I couldn't have asked for a better one. Ylke, the manager, along with Lucy, the receptionist welcomed me like I was family from day 1. The shifts CAN be tiring if you're not resting well in between. So, even if it is a “party intern” position, make sure to prioritize sleep and health when you're not on shift otherwise you can burn out. FOMO can happen, but everyday is a party and you can always decide to join next day's one. Shifts were all like we've agreed and I made friendships I'll cherish forever💙

Volunteering in the hostel it's a really a beautiful experience, I was lucky to have an amazing manager such as Caro and an amazing team that made my stay warm and fun. The shifts are respected as they told you in the interview, they're really flexible with the schedule and it's the place to be if you're social, like to party and lead people. I will truly come back as guests and maybe volunteer in another city. Fyi sometimes it's tiring because the times of shifts and a lot of socializing but it's so much worth it and beautiful.

Such a fun experience! Made some of my new best friends there, both volunteers and guests. Would really recommend (as long as you're prepared to party day in day out!) :)

I volunteered at the hostel paralelo for 5 weeks and had the best time of my life! You need to be really social and outgoing person to enjoy the experience to the fullest. The shifts are well explained. But they don't feel like work because the most important part is socializing with guests, creating a fun atmosphere and partying 🤘 I made great friends here and learned many new things. I definitely would recommend this experience! Thanks a lot to the team paralelo, miss you guys already 💕
