The Experience

Know Chapada Diamantina and get experience in nursery, agroforest system, planting, hiking, mountain, climbing, among others. Share activities and nice moments in very nice places! The main activities of the volunteers would be to take care of the nursery and seedlings and eventually camp on the farm. =)

I had a wonderful time at the home and I could learn a lot about planting and seeding. The hours and tasks were flexible which also allows you to get to know the Chapada. Diego and Theo made me feel like at home and I enjoyed being there.

Foi minha primeira experiência de work exchange e fui muito bem recebida pelo Diego. Havíamos combinado o camping como acomodação mas como estava chovendo muito, ele fez a gentileza de me deixar na casa que normalmente aluga para hóspedes, que é muito confortável! As horas de trabalho foram flexíveis e as tarefas tranquilas, respeitando as habilidades de cada voluntário. Adorei passar alguns dias com Diego e Theo, me senti em casa, aprendi sobre plantio e ainda conheci lugares lindos!

A casa é uma das mudas de esperança que resistem neste mundo. Saguis e beija-flores nos visitam diariamente, permitindo uma conexão direta e diária com a natureza. Um belo jardim propicia área para camping, e a casa disponibilizada para voluntários é de um conforto impressionante. Diego cuida do lugar com dedicação e amorosidade e Theo, seu filho, nos alegra com sua inteligência e espontaneidade! A roça, onde as árvores nativas ou de lei e muitas frutíferas são plantadas, é um lugar pensado em todos os seus aspectos, respeitando-se os princípios permaculturais. Experiência excelente!

Este foi o meu primeiro voluntariado e sinto que estou mal acostumada... O Diego e o Theo, seu filho, são uns amores, sempre se comunicando fazendo com que o ambiente se torne familiar e agradável a todos! As tarefas são tranquilas o que acaba por disponibilizar tempo para conhecer a cidade, as trillhas, sair e fazer amigos locais... Eu amei!

A minha experiência na casa foi a melhor de todas as experiências de voluntariado que já tive em mais de 6 anos viajando como voluntária. Um ambiente familiar, respeitoso, agradável para compartilhar, trocar ideias e aprender muito sobre meio ambiente. Diego é uma pessoa que pode ensinar muito sobe agricultura e ecologia, não percam a oportunidade de compartilhar uns dias na sua casinha maravilhosa e conhecer tudos os encantos da Chapada diamantina com um dos melhores anfitriões locais. Muito grata pela experiência e pelos aprendizagens compartilhados.
