My two weeks at the hostel has just been amazing. I would definitely want to stay longer if I didn't plan my next trip already. I enjoyed the work and the tasks are easy. You switch between four different shifts and the tasks are reception, check ins and check outs, cleaning dorms and common areas. The hostel also arrange different tours and activities which you can join before or after your shift. I could wish for a locker in the dorm and better breakfast but all in all, my experience was great!

This was my first time volunteering and everyone made me feel so welcome, I was sad to leave yesterday 😌 I spent 3 weeks at the hostel Dormotorio. Juan is such a lovely guy and all the volunteers (Noah, Gulia, Aurora, Stefania, Sorianah, Kinga) are all super nice and loads of fun ! You spend 4 hours a day, with different tasks to do, cleaning, changing beds, reception/check guests in and out and interacting with the guest. All very easy to do. The hostel vibe, has to be one of the best, everyone becomes, one big family and always extends their stay ☺️ Thanks so much for having me 🫶🏽

We really enjoyed our stay at the hostel. Juan was a nice host, the tasks were easy to follow and we had a list of things to do for each shift. Overall, we definitely recommend this experience to anyone that wants to spend sometime in Langkawi! :)

I had a great time at the hostel :) I was supposed to stay for 3 weeks, but I met some great people here and ultimately stayed for 5. The hostel is really nice, it has a great common area. The volunteer's room is basic, but we didn't spend much time there anyways. Cleaning was a bit more difficult than expected, but reception work is very easy and chill. Overall, would recommend!

I really loved my time in Langkawi! It was very nice to connect with other volunteers and guests. The hostel is located a few minutes walk from the beach. There are a lot of great tours available to have fun during the day off or the afternoon For the work, it's mainly cleaning. I personally think the morning shifts are quite tiring. However, it is nice to relax at the beach right next to the hostel after that, and enjoy beautiful sunsets! I just wish the breakfast would be a bit bigger though haha Overall, it was a good experience! Juan is very nice, other volunteers were welcoming as well!

Overall this is an easy gig. You teach yoga one hour a day, I would wake up about 45 minutes early to clear the space and set up & I'd sweep, mop, and put everything together when finished. The hours on the job description are longer than described & I had to ask for some additional training so I could help the other volunteers. The manager is easy going & the place would be perfect once they fix the water and internet issues (not stable/consistent). They won't be doing yoga again, I'm told, so the manager seemed super hands off & just let me do my thing. I extended a week bec it is nice.
