The Experience

Las Vegas está ubicada en la localidad de Potrerillos. Potrerillos está ubicada sobre la cordillera de los Andes, en el Departamento Luján de Cuyo de la provincia de Mendoza, Argentina. A 69 km de la ciudad de Mendoza y en pleno Corredor Andino. Allí se encuentra el espejo de agua de Potrerillos, que actualmente alcanza unas 1.500 hectáreas de superficie con 14 km de largo y casi 3 de ancho máximo.

It was an interesting experience and the community is really nice. Since we were the only volunteers (my boyfriend and I) at the moment, and Aureliano didn't sleep often in the house, we stayed some afternoons and nights alone in the camping site. But I did enjoy the work and the volunteer experience is really fair.

Fue una muy linda experiencia!
Es una zona hermosa, está rodeada de montañas y la vista es increíble!
En el lugar hay muy buena energía y la gente se siente muy cómoda cuando logra conectar con la magia del lugar.
Si bien los tratos se respetaron y no trabaje más de lo indicado, no pude conocer tantos lugares como esperaba por que hubo días en que tuve que quedarme cuidando el lugar esperando a los huéspedes que tenían reserva.
Por lo demás todo fue grandioso, conocí y me relacione con personas hermosas de diferentes países!
Me llevo anécdotas, bellos recuerdos y la certeza de regresar!

Si bien aplicamos para trabajo de construcción y permacultura, al llegar al lugar nos encontramos que no había necesidad de dichas tareas, sino de limpieza, tareas domésticas y atención de los huéspedes del lugar. Una experiencia diferente a lo que habíamos imaginado, pero que valía la pena por la estadía en ese ambiente natural tan bello.
Nuestro host, Aureliano, es una persona muy sociable, que hasta nos invitó a realizar un ascenso a un cerro de la zona, que él guiaba para otros huéspedes.
Por ser nuestra primera experiencia de voluntariado, estamos muy satisfechos.

Me recibieron de la mejor manera y me sentí como en casa desde el primer día.
Aure es una persona muy generosa llevando adelante un gran emprendimiento, siempre mejorándolo. Tuve la suerte de coincidir con hermosos otros voluntarios y gente local que hicieron de todo para mí una primera gran experiencia de voluntariado. Realizamos mermeladas y pan casero, tareas de jardinería, orden, limpieza y recepción. Compartimos prácticamente todas las comidas juntos. Gran equipo! 💜
Un lugar al cual espero volver, un rincón entre las montañas con una energía muy especial. Gracias, gracias, gracias!🙏🏻
