I had an amazing experience here at the hostel, all the staff were so kind and open to feedback. It was super social and easy to meet people from around the world. The only problem was the air conditioning in the room as it made a few of us sick but they have since cleaned it so hopefully wont be an issue! Would definitely recommend for solo travelers 🩷🩷

I had an incredible time at the hostel. Every single member of staff is an absolute delight! The location is super and the benefits of being a volunteer are fantastic. The volunteer dorm was disappointing but I believe they are renovating it. The thing I really appreciated, was the management always responded well to constructive feedback and really want to ensure that you have a positive experience. I will miss the team and would definitely return to the hostel

This experience was like Love Island but with worst living conditions. Pros: the location (IPANEMA!) plus free breakfast, parties, tours, umbrellas, beach chairs Cons: Disorganized, lack of communication. Male staff was touchy and inappropriate. Bar manager got sued yet the girl was fired, not him. We lived in a STORAGE room. It gets NASTY. No laundry. WiFi works half the time, AC leaks (I slipped) and is timed - you will suffer in summer. Staff used our room to shower, sleep in empty beds and hook up. Safety and respect where? Not here. I had fun, it was an experience for sure. But never again.

An amazing hostel with even more amazing people. The work at the bar is fun and not too stressful, even though it is usually quite full and you always meet super fun people from all over the world. Apart from the bar they also have good food and the hosts are flexible if you want to do some excursión etc. And let you change your shift.

I had the best time volunteering at the hostel! The staff and management were amazing, super friendly and flexible with my schedule. I made so many friends, and exploring Rio was so easy with the hostel located a block from the beach! I definitely want to come back in the future :)
