The Experience

My stay at the the farm was wonderful. We had various tasks ranging from harvesting coffee to painting. The work also proved to be a nice way to practice my spanish, mostly due to Lunas patience. Luna cooked for us everyday and the food was really really good. Also the animals on the farm are all really sweet and cuddly. Can definitely recommend to others!

We had an amazing time at the farm, spending our days planting cacaos, treating bamboos and living in community! The access is a bit remote (bring on your hiking skills) but Luna cares a lot about our wellbeing and her cooking is heavenly (just be sure to like arepas). I felt very grateful to experience a real adventure few get to experience when traveling! Though the tasks might be a bit physical, the quality of the people really makes up for it, and there's nothing like a glass of agua panela next to a bonfire after a day of work!

Working at the farm de morpho was an amazing experience. Luna is an extremely cheerful person and a very good cook (if you like vegetarian food) and she cares very much that everyone has a great time and in some ways a perfect host. Volunteering here is an excellent way to connect with nature and a self sustaining small community, however it's a real adventure so be prepared to sleep in a tent, hike one kilometer with a bag full of food and learning how to make every kind of arepas possible.

I enjoyed my stay very much, Luna made mede me feel welcome. You are living close to nature and the pets are adorable. I really appreciateted the efforts Luna put in making us learn spanish, she is speaking very slowly, it's perfect for improving your spanish. The work was hard sometimes but still fun and the food was amazing! Only have in mind that the little hike to the Finca might feel very long.. I would recommend
