I have loved my experience here, from the family lunches to being covered in mud. Everyone was so welcoming and kind. The work is tough at times with harvesting and cleaning the vegetables but some good music makes it fun. Be prepared to get dirty, if you come during the rainy season I would recommend good weather proof boots, water resistant pants and a rain jacket. You really do feel like you are part of the family and I am so thankful for my time here!

This was an absolutely an amazing experience! This was my first job and I did it with a friend but would be great to do as a solo as well. There are always other volunteers since there is much work around the farm. The hours are consistently 5 hours and outside of that there is plenty to do if you want to help more or learn about something new! Everyone is very welcoming and will always answer your questions. The work is dirty, fast paced, and detail oriented when getting veggies ready for market. Hitchhiking is about the only way to leave and come back to town but is very easy to do!

The farm is a wonderful place to experience every aspact of a life on a real farm. You get to see and learn so much. Metka, Bogdan and Gregor are super friendly and made my stay at their farm unforgettable. Working hours were always as agreed and they provided us with everything, even more then that. It is a good place to learn slowenian and to get to know the country and the culture better. Kmalu se vidimo! Hvala lepa za vse!

I highly enjoyed my stay at the farm. Metka, Bogdan, Gregor and all the family members are so friendly, welcoming, understandable and always full of positive energie. I think it's impossible to be in a bad mood if they are around you :D. I learned a lot about many different types of vegetables and how to harvest and clean them. The work is varied and Metka always explains patient and answers all questions. Farm work is definitely not the only thing we can learn from her. Metka, Bogdan and Gregor, Thank you so much for the possibility to stay at your peaceful farm! I wish you all the best! :)

The farm is in a remote area and there are no buses or connection to town, so if you want to make trips, you can do it only at the weekend. The farm is on a hill. If you enjoy spending time in a quiet place, where you can watch sunsets and sunrises and wander around in nature, this spot is perfect for you! Metka is an amazing host, always full of energy. The working hours are as said. Don't worry if you haven't worked on a farm before - they will show you everything:). There is a kitchen, where you will spend a lot of time with other volunteers chatting and laughing:).

Hard work in the weeding season. Sometimes work starts at 6 am. Not many options for food. Metka and Bogdan are very inspiring and friendly people. Always smiling and they are hard workers. Communication method is very direct. Lot of great stories it's just really hard work and not for everyone.

Hey Adam thank you so much for your review. As you wrote it s not for everybody, same as city life is not for everybody.

And same is here. Village life and farm life is not for everybody.

We teach people how to live a life with what we have at home. So Zero hunger on worldpackers. Be aware that we have at home organic vegetables, and we use what we have. And also we do buy food which we dont have.
And intention of exchange is to learn something new at a host and not to live the way you live at home.

Then we follow Life on land and we started at 6 am beaucse of the weather. So you are not in the biggest heat.

When writting review please look at experience from sight what have you learned, I see only negtive point of view.

I saw that this wasnt experience for you - but i believed that maybe you ll find a good way how to enjoy the day. To undestand the task. Also you wrote you were here in the weeding season, and what work can I give you if the weeding was hard. I can not send you to the forest - this work is not for you.

I wish you all the best. I m happy you spend time with our family here on the farm. That you gave us your energy and your time.

Wish you all the best. And to all the travellers out there just a shout out- when you choose your new experience, really read the caption and see if its resonating with you. Thats why we have real farm life :) not the fiction holywood.

I m grateful for every single person who is ready to join us and give us a hand. Every person is a gift and you have my huge respect.

SO enjoy summer and have fun, thank you one more time. And wish you all the best. I really hope that you also had some good minutes on the farm. Like long afternoons with other volunteers, where you could enjoy nature, time around, caves, cooking dinners togeher, share stories, have amazing walks. Enjoy sunsets and sunrise.

Life is beautiful, when we allow to see the experience from different angles. And when we speak to eachother in the spot, and not online.

Wish you amazing day :)

Huge hug from Slovenia

Me and my friends stayed at this farm for a little bit more than two weeks. We almost never saw the hosts during this time, because Metka was away. We only worked and ate together with the other voluteers most of the time, but when we saw the hosts they were really nice. The work can get exhausting, but there are many different tasks and you get to work together with the other voluteers, which was fun. Unforunately we ended up working more than five hours on many days, because there were still things that needed to get done.

Perfect stay! I really enjoyed every minute of it. Work was enjoyable and the hours were fair, food at lunchtime was made for the volunteers most days and it was amazing too. Hours walk away from a small town with a gas station but if you want your own groceries you could get a ToyotaGo to Kozina for like 2-3 euros. Would recommend to anyone interested in farming amd would recommend to anyone in general!
